The BIO TIME TRAVELING MIMIC Abilities Explained

Фильм және анимация

As meteors touch down all over the Europe, humanity quickly becomes overwhelmed by a species that appears sentient, but at the same time, they also behave like a hive. As this species overwhelms Earths defense force, that being humans, one man is exposed to an event that allows him to be taken out, but come back to life the day previous to learn from the events that come later. As it becomes clear it has something to do with species blood and the hive mind, he learns how to survive before ultimately going after the leader. I am writing this massively hungover so if that doesnt make any sense, just watch the video lol. Anyhow lets discuss how this works!

Cage went from an ordinary person to a straight up impossible to beat temporal super weapon. Like the Chief, within the bounds of the story, was just well equipped, properly supported and skilled enough to get through the challenges he faced. If the Chief actually had the canon power that Cage has or if even it was just Cage waking up woke up on the Pillar of Autumn you’d see the covenant fleet exploding over the halo, the flood obliterated while they were still sitting in a bunch of fancy forerunner test tubes and high charity burning before the humans or the covenant really knew what was happening. The ability to reroll every choice you make till you get a natural 20 is ludicrously OP.

I believe they explained in the movie why they lack armor, or at least a helmet. It's pretty much any direct hit from a mimic punches through any armor they have. Sure, the helmet can protect against shrapnel or glancing blows but the lack of vision is more of a hindrance as they need to avoid direct hits from mimics

I feel like it more likely that quantum superposition along the time axis is being utilized as information is sent to the past version of the organism. The end could be the case that the omega’s dead state is as sent back in time through Tom cruse’s character. This then could have have overlapped the currently alive version causing a deadly feed back loop as it was actively trying to loop into the future rather than past offing itself in the process

Fun video. I honestly went to check to see if I had left the game running from the music. I recommend you read the Book it was based on "All you need is kill". They were not organisms, they are terraforming nanites that were sent to xenoform the planet. The "combat" forms we see were just a result of us the indigenous life fighting back. The temporal manipulation was just because it was so costly and expensive a project it couldnt fail etc. But not organisms, machines following their orders. Book did not have an Omega.

I definitely recommend the original novel, All You Need is Kill. Much better in every catagory. The aliens are actually explained as basically nanomachine constructs intended to terraform (or I guess xenoform) Earth, started in the ocean and were basically forced to evolve into barrel bodied starfish creatures in order to fight humans and complete the terraforming. The movie really just took some of the names and most basic concepts of the plot and used them to make a pretty generic Sci-fi action vehicle for Tom Cruise.

Movie is definitely not generic. Especially compare to other live action movies/series which had tried to adapt anime/manga but failed miserably. And most importantly, this movie stands on its own which alot of movies/series struggles to making it a solid sci-fi movie.

FINALLY ❤ I have waited like 4 years for a Edge of Tomorrow mimic video. It was awesome. Super great job! Of just about any Sci Fi film, the concept of the Mimic has been the most fascinating to me. I loved it. I wouldn't say more to mimic theories. I haven't considered mimics coming from a water based evolution, for me it felt like they were in a constant flux of time and space so much so that they were unable to maintain a constant physical form. But your explanation makes more sense lol. Crazy how their species seemed to have evolved with such a different organism as the Omega which could manipulate time and space compared to the ant-like drones.

@@voidtempering8700 Combustion has proven to be an essential tool for technological advancement for us, from fire to cook, to steam power and electronics. The steps to technological advancement may be just too big without fire - you can't exactly go from agrarian civilization to nuclear power plants in one leap stepping all the way over top of metal smelting no matter how good a kelp farmer you become. There has been speculation that oxygen may be unnecessary component for a technologically advanced species, for exactly this reason. No oxygen no fire. Underwater, also no fire
