My parents use to tease me, when they found out I made sandwiches for lunch. And I went to go visit them one morning. They made toast with butter. for their 2 dogs. They'd cut the toast into 12 squares. One fed one dog. And the other fed the other dog. I laughed at them...😂 😅 😂

Sadly ive been thinking similar thoughts over Chip and her babies . Last year she was like Jimmy coming for chicken again and again. Shes not the same this year and has allowed Daphne to take her food. If she had cubs they would have been her priority i think as Daphne can get food for herself now. Maybe nature decided she needed a rest after being such a wonderful mum last year. Poor little love. .

If he's hurrying and stashing on route you know what means. It won't be long now before the pups are on the move. Hi pip. Been and had your fur done? Such a lovely lush coat. Where's your mum?. Don't you think you'd better go and get her? Good boy. Hi chip how are you baby girl. My heart is with you. Stay strong girl we are all here for you. Even your kids are trying look at pip being a mummy's boy and hanging out with you. Im sorry to say I think i know what that tells me. And I think den mum was right. Bloody shame. Don't worry chip we are all here for you. If you want to babysit or take over den mum wouldn't mind some help she has two little terrors that could do a fox mums guidance and you've raised well mannered polite pups I can't think of anyone better to help out. Maybe try foster? Size wise pip definitely took after his dad Baz. Has huge. Poor chip carrying him his brother Jimmy who's not exactly small either and Daphne who's the smallest out the the three. No wonder she's such a mummy's girl. Chip has always been petite. She was still growing herself when she had her babies and gave everything she had to them to make sure they grew up big and strong. Once she had them she still gave more to them untill they were a bit older then she took care of herself and was able to finish growing. But having her babies so young it's stunted her growth. She's as big as she's going to get now. And she never did quite grow in to her ears but that's what makes her so adorable and I hate to say but a favourite of mine. But she did her kids proud she did Baz proud and all of us. She's a better mum to her kids than her mum was to her. She did better for them. That's why I have a soft spot for her. She's come so far in her little life been through so much she's really got a fighting spirit. See even now she still feeds her adult kids and let's them take her chicken. She will just go and ask den mum for some more. And tell her den mum did you see that my son pinched my chicken. May I have another bit please. Just watch how she interact with den mum. No words need yet a lot is being said. Head up looking right at den mum ears adjusted looks at chicken looks back at den mum picks up chicken looks at den mum to say thank you before heading off. Who needs verbal communication when she she speaks so clearly in her own way. And den mum knows her so well she knows exactly what she's saying. It's beautiful to see. Thank you den mum for sharing another beautiful relationship with chip and a crystal clear interaction between you and her. Beautiful. 😮 Jimmy really 😮 leave some for the others you piggy. I know your feeding a misses and kids but your mum brother and sister need to eat as well so does you uncle cookie and ringo and howie. Take a couple you can always come back for more. Just give someone else a chance to get some. Den mum knows you have babies she won't see you or them go without. Although they are all probably built like Hercules and Xena by now the amount of food you've been taking back. Are you sure your misses is a fox and not serberious with 3 heads and guardian to hell? Or is that the kids?. Goodness me. You've taken you job as partner and dad very seriously. You family want for nothing. Well except you mum brother sister and uncle. And anyone else who stops in at den mums for a bite to eat. Calm down a bit or maybe the have worms in which case bring them to see den mum and she will dose them all up for you. Problem solved. I'm knackered watching him. He started out taller than pip he's worn his little legs down he's back and forth so much. Keep going and you'll be smaller than chip. Xx

I was just wondering if, judging by their size, if Cookie could be the Father of Pip, Jimmy and Daphne. He WAS quite amorous last year and I remember him even trying to mount Biscuit. They seem to be the only cubs around. Just thought i'd throw that out there 🤔

Only Biscuit asked to be petted. We lost her last September to severe lung worm. Biscuit, Basil and Cookie took food from Auntie Debs hand.

That's seems to be what most of us here think is the case. It's normal for the father fox to bring food back for his family and later the mother fox joins in when their kits/cubs/pups are big enough. Lately a new female fox has been showing up and it's speculated that she might be Jimmy's mate.

Debs, have you considered buying feeder mice, chicken livers, cow tongue, and other animal parts?
