As a detectorist and treasure hunter that has hunted multiple countries and have finds that were donated to different museums, I find it hard to believe this video for several reasons. First of all, the find had to be made in a cave of some sort because the equipment being used is not capable of detecting at the depth it showed him. Secondly, why would a brush be used to clear dirt and debris from the vessels only to break them open with a hammer? Most of the time, the vessels are as important as the items within them. Also, what was with the dramatics of using an accelerant on the vessels and lighting them on fire? This would serve no useful purpose other than to make it look as though it has so effect that would make retrieval of the contents easier to remove, only to use a hammer to smash open the vessels. If this was an actual find of rare coins, they certainly would not have had their condition jeopardized by hammering next to them or rubbing the dirt off them in such a careless manner as to further damage the coins. This whole video is so wrong that I can personally only conclude that it was produced for theatrical purposes and nothing more. After watching this to the end, it's easy to see that it is as phony as the day is long. A couple yead sales and a trip to the Goodwill store and you have all the making of the biggest BS video posted on KZread in months.

They ONLY after the gold and don't give a damn about historical items. And are these going to end up in museums around the world to share with the people the world? HE'LL NO! These are nothing but a bunch of hoodlums scavengers that don't share the horde with anybody else other than themselves. And how come the ONLY people that find these world's most impressive treasures are these scavengers?

It is often difficult to be a skeptic. Other times joyful, as is this video and similar to him. The series of super -lucky detectors grow great. Moreover, some also have decent film directorial skills. Fortunately, these lucky people do not know anything about history and archeology, they know nothing about the style analysis, and they have steady personal habits, for example, they still use the same Nike sports shoes or the same scarf worn as the robe under the baseball face. In the end, it will undoubtedly reveal some fatal stupidness such as the strange color vase in this video and the red "ancient" oil lamp, which is even gilded! = The collar comes for many reasons apparently from the present, a large vase probably from the 19th century. So there is no need to worry that as archaeologists inside out the finding pot, they break a hammer here Tesla, I have this type too, because they do no cultural damage just deceive the naive audience that marvels. But it should be acknowledged that directing is effective for simple people, including music from some childish thriller. Well, a special methodology = everything is spilled with some dust, perhaps ashes, the artifact is cleaned by burning with petrol ... For God's sake? Sure it looks romantic! It reminds me a bit of a brave who goes to live in a cruel wilderness with almost bare hands, filming from a few meters and tens of meters ... But the camera is movable, so someone else had to hold it in his hand. Long live miracle discoverers !!! Tom P.S. It looks like it's a video of Czech origin. If so, then it is particularly spicy to the contents extending directly to the precious antiquity! But in other countries there are also many similar trolls!

Ancient pots shouldnt be preserved as well as this stuff... This is 100% fake. The drama pulling up the green pot when it would have been 100 times safer to just hand it to the other guy from down there and up. Look in the start of the video the guy is handing the camera to the other guy from above.

Seems strange to look like he was going to preserve the vessel only to break it apart like a piggy bank, with no regard except some weird heating of it (for what reason?); and, he may have been sifting through a person's ashes to get their coins. This may have been grisly tomb raiding, perhaps; not archaeology. The vessel was also a treasure of sorts, but now it's just broken. :(

I am a retired United States Marine that has since I was very young searched for treasure. I began metal detecting several years ago and it has become my passion. For myself it is not just the perspective of possibly discovering treasure but that of the historical aspects of what one may uncover. This particular video exhibits precisely that. I very much enjoyed watching the entire video. I do hope that these artifacts will indeed end up displayed at a museum/s for all the world to see for themselves. On another note: I assume that you are seeking some form of constructive criticism to better your video production. The only comment I may offer is that the commentator not to speak in such a monotone voice. Enthusiasm is the key when attempting to convince others that you are excited about your findings. The voice used in this video was far too staged. I hope that was helpful. It was by no means intended to seem rude.

This just doesn't ring true to me, to start with the metal detector used looks like a Garret, with the best will in the world and the very best model they make, I doubt it would read below a depth of 30 to 40cm in bone dry earth. No metal detectorist in their right mind would crack open pots or wine flasks of any description, they would be sent for Xray and if emptied, it would be done by the most experienced in that field. The wine flasks look like they have machined spouts, and everything looks too lightweight. If something is too good to be true, it ain't.......

Tne coins appear so shiny bright that they fill me with suspicion about the authenticity of their discovery. Such coins with a good story are worth more in the numismatic field. To be proven true, they must have been minted at the same time and in the same geographical area. They jars would have to be filled to the top, instead a few coins in this bottle and a few coins in that one. Human thinking is to fill one container before starting on another. If other holes are dug nearby they must contain more artifacts to prove there was some other activity at or near the same depth. The coins must all be mintied, that is, stamped in great pressure, not poured into molds. If all the coins are the same metal, that is, silver, fakery is proved, as there should be gold or brass or copper coins mixed with the silver coins in the containers. The pottery containers are earthenware, not stoneware or porcelain. Water penetrates earthenware easily. Noble metals such as silver or copper are still capable of oxidation. Ancient coins buried in earthenware for hundreds of years will be dull, not bright. Only gold will remain shiny for hundreds or years, even a thousand years in salt water will not tarnish gold. If there are more than one metal, and the soil is even a bit acid, in the presence of water, electrolysis will carry silver to coat copper. My observation of this discovery is that it is fake.

One note, I would encourage you to be a bit more gentle when extracting items from the jars. I noticed you broke a couple pieces of the jewelry. On another note, the pottery items are also very valuable so preserving them is also important. I hated to see you take a hammer to the one item. Also, can you share what state or country you are in? Just curious. I always wanted to be an archeologist. What a successful dig!

Wonderful show. My son has always wanted to do this. One day I'll take him somewhere wonderful like this. Any suggestions where I should take him?
