    Sucks becuase sadly all you guys are wrong, there are more tortoise kept as pets than there are in the wild. Take my Sulctatas for example, there's more sulcata in the US than in Africa. And we can't just dump captive bread tortoises into the wild to repopulate. Captive bread tortoise won't survive in the wild. Thank humans for decreasing many tortoise numbers, maybe one day we'll change our ways

    Jinx198 Yes, I have 3 rescued Sulcata Tortoises they are huge no my oldest(23yrs) weighs in at 178lbs so beautiful@ They go to sleep in their dog houses every night so peaceful & good😊

    I just got a tortoise and a bonsai tree for that very reason after my kids' dad died recently. I want to leave them and my future grandchildren things I've put love and care into that they can as well. ❤

    I'm 15 and my family has a young sulcata tortoise. It boggles my mind that some day, my grandchildren will probably get the chance to enjoy his company. Tortoises are such great animals.

    @@TheBinoyVudi sulcata is pretty common since they're prolific in captivity and sold in many countries worldwide. Not the best choice since they would require large enclosure.

    its very interesting how it evolved. the galapagos tortoise has no natural predators, so all he has to do to survive is find enough food. so he walks slowly around the place eating what he can find, and just chilling.

    That looks like Santa Cruz Island. I had the extreme fortune to have ...'steering problems' ...when I showed up on my trimaran in '94. It's such a magical place and every bit worth a visit!

    @@harryroper7971 Guavas are one of the most nutritious fruits you can eat. They are high in fiber and have more vitamin C than an orange.
