Zoe it is nice to see you out there doing what you can do. Most pregnant women would say I can't do that I am pregnant. You know that you can't lift but you were out there putting wedges in. Man, those slabs is what made me watch the video. Thanks for sharing.
I like how she lubricates the wood first before she handles it, gives me a real sense of confidence she knows what she's doing, and that's something I always look for when I want my wood handled. I also see that she has two of the most perfectly formed slabs, slabs expertly designed to hold and guide the thickest and longest of wood.

My God, looks like a great place to work.
Those are some beautiful slabs
MY dad retired in northern Vermont and had a saw mill. a band saw. on a long track. We used to cut giant white pine down and make 20" wide and 18 feet long 3/4 and 1" thick sometimes 2" thick boards and dry them in the barn shimmed. We sold them to builders that wanted wide boards for wood floors. He is 84 now. Ran his sawmill until 4 years ago.
You guys are doing great work. You definitely should use a yard tent to cover yourselves in the open from the heat. That’ll help cover your camera from the sun as well & have some hanging rechargeable fans to give you a lil air circulation to cool you & the cameras

Ya the last 2 days here in northern Wisconsin have been miserable 90-95° with like 65-75% humidity. Waiting for fall. U can have Florida lol. The only reason I see going down there is to go fly fishing for tarpon keep up the good work. Maybe try and design a cooler for the cameras like a cooler with ice in it and a fan blowing the cold air around the camera.
I love the smell of camphor, and the wood was beautiful. I know you are collecting cedar sawdust for cachets, have you thought about doing it with the camphor shavings too? That would be amazing! Thanks for the videos!

I can’t even guess how many board feet of lumber that my father and I have cut with our Stihl 090 with the Alaskan sawmill. I still own it and she still runs, great memories.
Thanks to the angle of the Camera man, I guess we know why we're all here ‼️😂🤣😂🤣😂
I would recommend looking into semi-skip chain for the saw. Helps saw rev high bc less teeth and on big bars gives you more control so it’s not jumping or pulling into the wood to much.

Them slabs look nice and SOFT!❤
I see two big wonderful slabs indeed!
I didn't one slab in this video !👀👀👀👀..I watched over and over! And finally! I saw the slabs 👀👀👀 they were beautiful...
Trey, I've found that if the engine end of the bar is the leading edge of chain teeth on the log, your sawdust comes out as short chips and flour. If you use the other end of the bar as the leading edge, you will find that the chain teeth do more sawdust slicing than chipping and the sawdust comes out in long strings with much less 'flour'. It feels easier to cut to me. Easier to cut probably means more efficiency, less wear & tear. Do a little experimenting, find what suits you the best. Lookin' good Zoe...you may not be doing as much physical labor, but you're still doing a bunch of work.
amazing shape, lovely curves, strong and sturdy. very impressive slabs.
I'm so glad it wasn't click bait. 😍
