You'd need a capture card for the uncompressed 4k via HDMI since HDMI ports on computers are output only.

I appreciate the fact that most (all?) of the settings are on the camera itself. Perfect for people like me with heavily locked-down corporate machines where installation of some random webcam/helper app is not an option. 👍 I was also pleasantly surprised to see the USB vs HDMI performance isn't wildly different. Off to see how any Australian Pesos one of these will set me back.😫 Update: USD249 for the hardware (sure, I can live with that) PLUS ***USD103*** for shipping to Australia. WTAF?!

Ngl btw. The mic on this thing is actually really good. Compared to most mics for less than 100 dollars I think it holds up for what the overall product is.
If you search for this sensor, you'll find that it was designed for security cameras to see in low light situations. It's an interesting choice for a webcam that lacks a lens for low light support. Maybe that's why it doesn't have a more traditional professional sensor.
Techlongers are great Riley, please keep making them!
The mic is super good! I did not expect that at all. Everyone should use that exact setup.
When he said "This looks pretty good" my video quality fell to 144p😂

It would connect to an enterprise media system in a conference or classroom with a capture card. The media system sends the feed to a PC or recording system after combining it with other selected inputs like display capture, microphones or other cameras.
@NexiGoOfficial

Hi Animotion, As you pointed out, the HDMI on a laptop (and most other computers) tends to be a one-way heading out of the unit so you would not be able to get that to work without some way of getting the HDMI signal into the system. You would need to use a capture card of some kind to allow for the uncompressed HDMI signal, otherwise all you will get is the compressed version (or the USB signal).
@freespam9236

HDMI capture card... not sure if moment of tech privilege or forgetting how HDMI video recording really works by host... but yea one can't just plug it into your laptops HDMI and get to see it(well there are some rare laptops with such feature - but you could not show it to others) nor will your random usb-c to HDMI dongle

The Insta360 Link looks superb BUT so much of the functionality/control is only available if you are able to install the proprietary companion software on the connected PC. Again, this is where the Nexigo seems to come into its own. If you work in a high security company/environment (govt/financial services/aeronautics etc) you simply don't have the luxury of downloading and installing any old application from the internet onto your standard operating environment. Without the companion software, the Insta360 might as well be a $99 Logitech camera.
Currently my favorite webcam review.

The USB would be to connect it to the mini PC (or similar) running the video conferencing software. In our case chromeboxes for Google Meet. Webex, Teams, Zoom etc all have a compute box for the room... Unless you're running the room fully BYOD
Dynamic range refers to the difference in max light and dark levels that can be captured at the same time. It's not a colour setting Riley!
I love the Flight of the Concords reference
You realize the quality of LMG image and cameras when theres a webcam review.
That 3D noise reduction is actually pretty cool, it works just like TAA in a game. Temporal noise reduction using data from several frames will cause some blurring or smearing if very aggressive but it should work really well on high ISO
I don't even care what product it is. I'm just here for my daily Riley fix
Most computers don’t have an HDMI input Riley! you need a capture card for that.

Can you connect an external gpu to your laptop if it already has a dedicated gpu inside?
Does someone know what the Field Of View is on this thing? It doesn't say on the site I think and it wasn't mentioned in the video.
In most (not all) cases, the Conference room wouldn’t have hdmi input for video conference.

Does it support windows Hello? And do I need a capture card if I want to use the HDMI output?

Would LOVE to see you build the ULTIMATE custom water-cooling PC, using the brand newly released Cooler Master HAF 700 "THE BERSERKER" PC case with at least three if not FOUR 420mm radiators at the SAME TIME, as a single water loop, with water cooling blocks on the: CPU, GPU, M.2 drive and on the DDR5 RAM! Would this be the ultimate dream setup for next gen hardware (like the intel 13th gen CPU, RTX4090ti, PCIe gen 5 M.2 drive and even hot DDR5 RAM)? I want something like this myself but have never done a custom water loop before, so a demo/tutorial video like that would be incredibly helpful for people like me. Ultimate silent cooling PC for the ultimate enthusiast gamer?

What framerate 4k does it capture? Can it capture 1080p with higher framerate?
@zarster
Жыл бұрын
@10:05 it says 4K30, 4K25 and 1080P30 and less. Also “HDMI 60FPS is only visible when set on the computer side as well” so seemingly with the right settings on the capture card it will allow 60FPS to some resolution.
Really just said Nexigo like you’re Mario.
That corporate keynote convinced me. Buy buy buy stunks
Does it connect to a capture card or a HDMI to USB dongle at 9:45? EDIT: And does it matter?
@NexiGoOfficial
Жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, for the uncompressed 4K to work, you would need to plug the HDMI into a capture card of some kind. Otherwise, what you will see is just compressed footage, the HDMI simply can't provide the uncompressed signal to the system without having a device to run it through. So it would matter, and you are spot on.

Air-Flow Efficient - Design - Mileage may vary.
Okay, _maybe_ that's the largest sensor in a webcam that is strictly billed as a webcam... but considering that most mirrorless cameras have tools (and in some cases, built-in firmware) that allows you to use them as webcams, I feel like the largest sensor in a webcam may just be a 35 mm full-frame sensor. That is, unless there are some medium format cameras that have similar webcam usability.
