Your eyeless hooks are what are called spade end hooks, very popular in UK with match/competition anglers. When tied correctly the line comes away from hook in a straight line with the shank giving a more direct line to the fish/bait.

the Lunkerhunt dragonfly is a great lure! I get more hookups than a frog. I would recommend it for top-water summer pond fishing. But there is no magic lure that can replace all the lures in your tackle box [ like gimmicky commercials always say] .

That's completely not true. As long as the wind is blowing correctly, the water has the correct displacement value, you tie it on the exact correct brand and weight of line, and your retrieve is an accurate number of centimeters per millisecond the Hangover is nearly the perfect bait! 😏😂

European here: Those Westin baits are also gimmicks over here. They are maybe good for our canals in the summer but generally you tend to find that other lures work much better for pike. Perch usually will not take anything larger than a small whopper plopper or a small popper style lure. To me jointed surface lures work far better than any other lures for pike.

I bought a TEMU 3/4 fly reel and it is OK. Of course I use it Brook Trout fishing in small streams so all a fly reel does in that situation is hold line. Bass fishing I fish really main stream proven baits. I don’t think I fish anything that hasn’t been on the market at least 10 years and a lot that I either made myself or were discontinued years ago. I think I catch more fish on a Spinnerbait than everything else combined.

I caught my biggest smallie on a Banjo Minnow. I've caught many fish on them. Minnow imitations are NOT gimmicky. Fish dont have hands. The only way for them to find out "what the hell is that?" is to bite it. Bass especially become shy of over fished artificial baits. Baits are built for fisherman. The prettier they are the more you pay. When Yozuri came out people couldn't wait to overpay for their oh-so-pretty minnows and cranks.😂 😅

Roland Martin's As Seen On TV buzzbait is legit. The Cavitron catches fish. My buddy got that goofy Chasebaits swimbait in a MB box, he gave it to me and I couldn't bring my self to throw it yet.

On Ali I've found some good copies of Jackson Artist, with the weight system, that catches and it's good quality. I've found some trout cranks too, that are just extraordinary for the price. I prefer paying 2 bucks for a copy, that does the same thing as the 30 bucks real one. I buy originals only in clearance, at half of the price. I am an engineer, i have a good salary, but the prices for the originals went up so much, they almost doubled in the last 3 years.

The Largo Shad works good for the first 10 casts unless you catch a fish in which case it is finished. The plastic is so soft they don't hold up. You can expect to catch 3 fish with a $7 pack.

I consider myself good at 2 things in fishing. Cranking and Walking. The stutter step is the easiest one to walk, but the catwalk is a close second. They sexy dawg is fantastic. My favorite would have to be the Skitter Walk. Its pretty perfect. The H2O is good. It definitely runs by itself.

Thank you very much for your entertaining video. It caught my attention that you started out with the Lunkerhunt "lizard" and you immediately placed it on the scale exactly where it belonged. What the hell happened to that company? They had a product the Kraken Walking frog that worked well and they discontinue it to promote "gimmicks". I guess P.T. Barnum was right
