People that make player missions are so talented

I feel the AC-130 could really work as a reinforcement unit, similar to that of the drone or the nuke. Basically just something you could spawn as if you get enough kills.

Something like this would be awesome as something like the nuke, but with lesser spawnpoints! Like idk 1700SP and you get a huuuge bomb that might just only kill enemies because teamkills would be a regular thing then.

They could allow teamkills and instead simply put penalties on the kill rewards of the MOAB if they kill too many teammates, it could also be helpful to have a sort of warning indicator only for allied players when someone is going to drop the MOAB, so that they can evacuate from its target destination.

t should be added as a tiered premium like the F-89's are, buy the AC-130 first and then the C-130 is available to buy at a really low price for funny MOAB drops, both with GE obviously. It being a premium is ideal for everyone because: 1) Doesnt add a blockade in the tech tree to piss people off who will have to grind past what WILL be a very useless aircraft in order to get to more useful future bombers. 2) It wont be added as a let-down "killstreak" aircraft like nukes and drones are, so you can personalize your Fun > Effective aircraft. I would much prefer being able to slap "Skill issue" all over my AC/C-130 for when i get my first kill in it after being shot down immediately in the last 20 GRB matches trying to use it. The AC/C-130s will be a high fun potential but super ineffective but unique type premium like the A-10s are. It being a premium will also let you have a very high reward for the rare moments you do kill something, and also will allow it to have a SUPER SUPER low repair cost (which it WILL need).

@@heroninja1125 personally while the MOAB would be the only thing that makes the C-130 worth looking at over the AC-130, bombs like the MOAB, FAB-5000, etc. just shouldnt be available in Ground RB period. They just result in teamkills and plus on the receiving end there is legitimately nothing you can do and nothing that feels more bullshit than being killed THROUGH hard cover over 100m away from the drop site.

I think before they go to crazy and potentially add this. They should try their luck with the AC-47? Obviously it’s gonna take skill to use and kinda suck in the beginning but I feel like that would be a good footnote to start on.

Extraction not Drag. The extraction chute pulls out the bomb, the platform separates from it and for what it’s worth. GPS guides it and BOOM! Also the ramp would be level with the cargo floor. Still cool Phly! Oh, and I am a retired C-130E, C-130H and MC-130H Combat Talon II Loadmaster. BTW, Angel Flares? No, just flares. We do not call them that but it’s ok if you do. Cheers!!

1- the MOAB isnt the biggest, the FOAB is 4x bigger in yield of TNT, 44 tons of TNT, Moab is amazing but is the second biggest non-nuclear bomb in the world. 2- Moab is a thin skinned bomb (Thermobaric), not that effective against tanks cause no sharpnel (but fckng big shocwave). 3- plz do more videos like this

The FOAB is, allegedly, bigger, but it's never been dropped. The title of the video correctly states that the MOAB is the largest non-nuclear bomb that has ever been dropped.

the GBU-43 MOAB is impressive but I doubt Gaijin will ever introduce GPS-guided munitions, maybe if they "dumb-it-down" and make it laser guided still considering we already have PAVEWAY's and yet none of the guided bombs from the late WW2 and early 1950's (radio or TV guided), I do not think they are all too inclined to make bombers more efficient

it would be cool to see the AC-130 added as something like a drone but with limited time; like every 1500(ish) SP you can spawn it for 2:30(maybe)

Built a hangar for one of these at Dover air force base. They are MASSIVE irl seeing it in game does not do it justice. What a cool aircraft.

Fun to ride in. They have cargo pallets that they load that have airline seats mounted so you can increase the amount of people you can carry.

the more video i see of you with the C130 the more i am convinced its in the next update .

I got the qn, so far its decent against light vehicles with it's apds but honestly it's a GREAT anti helicopter tank, the SAMs are amazing at taking down heli's and the cannon is descent as well for it

I worked on the exact MC-130H that dropped the bad boy, the model looks nothing like a Talon II so that’s sad, the Talon deserves so much more recognition

That’s funny, 19141. I’m very familiar with that airplane. The real counterpart didn’t look exactly like that in its service with the reserves though, just a regular H model.

Idea: warthunder should add higher rank radar planes which can spot enemies for the team and get a fraction of the reward such as is found with the scouting ability in ground battles. Lmk if it's a good idea!

The C2 is being phased out they are being replaced by VTOLS the CMV-22B a V-22 osprey variant made specifically for the navy. They were going to start replacing them with S-3 Vikings in the late 90s early 2000s but the s-3 just couldn't handle it. As late as 2014 Northrop Grumman was trying to sell them a variant they dubbed the C-3.

I wish they fixed the variable time fuse shells for german 88 mm and you are giving them ideas to add new content that will break the game even more xD

The 88 is manual timed fuse rather than variable time fuse But yes, I agree it could be much better implemented. The whole clunky rangefind system is atrociously difficult to use. It would be much better if HE-TF work the same way as it does in naval, where the fuse follows sight distance rather than setting by rangefinder. Only problem then is figuring out the range

If you are driving north on HWY 69 coming into McAlester, OK you will see a replica MOAB in the middle of the highway, with a huge sign in front of it saying "Defending our Freedom"

If I remember correctly, blu-42 was the largest conventional bomb ever dropped. It was used during Vietnam to level chunks of jungle to create landing zones for helicopters. And it just so happened to be dropped out of c-130s

I agree about the AC-130.. it only makes sense when you have air supremacy, which is rare in a game like war thunder lol

MOAB was dropped by the 9thSOS from Cannon AFB out of a MC-130J Commando II.

In order to land on a carrier, the C-130 had to reverse the propeller pitch. Something not (yet) modeled in WT.

its actually already ingame. You just need to turn on Full controlls and scroll down to the bottom, there you can even control every engine, prop pitch, combustion cycle etc.

I kinda wish they would add the B-58 hustler and the F-111. I feel like if they can add them without it being too broken

C-130 with HH and HH+ upgrades might do ok too

The davy Crockett was a jeep mounted nuc!ear rocket launcher. They never used it because the user couldn't reach a safe distance.

They should add it as a free vehicle like the drones and the nuke planes but the ac130 should be a bit less sp than a drone and the c130 should be around 1500-2000 sp with the moab/foab

If you hit the carrier in the right spot with a moab you probably could sink it. Set off the jet fuel or bomb storage you could detonate the ship.

A carrier would have a some blast damage due to MOAB detonates before impact. MOAB is an thermobaric bomb

By the time this is introduced in game I don't see it working, by that time we will also get anti-air that would decimate the c-130 before it can do anything.

I think they made a short takeoff version with rocket thrusters and Rocket thrusters backwards-facing to land and it worked most of the time but it never was put into service😅

The onyl full scale test a wiring error caused it to destroy itself AFAIK.

The C-130 carrier landing was testing for fleet resupplies. The Herc wouldn't stay on the carrier, it would drop off 3 pallets of cheese and rip-its, and load up any casualty evac before leaving. Very important for WW3 scenario.

I do like the C-130. But the C-17 has a special place for me. Its just better in every way. and my own country uses them. I believe if something like these where to be added. The C-17 would be a better option.
