Sorting by genre like this guy does could be a problem for a big collection, since many movies involve multiple genres. Is Alien a sci- fi, a horror, a space movie? Gee, which section did I put it in?? I have thousands of movies too and I concluded long ago that alphabetical order is the way to go. When you have that many movies, your paramount concern should be, will I be able to find s--- in that mountain of stuff.

I got more I have 8,000 in my collection and I'm in a very small poor town so it's hard to collect when I can only get dvd's off Facebook and 1 gas station
