ABOUT ME
I’m 31 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city (something I still do) and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 850 breeding ewes.
I shore over 19,000 sheep this season in the UK and have my own shearing run which lets you see many different farms in the summer months.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on KZread and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Thanks for watching my videos and please subscribe if you want to see more in future.

What a beautiful (Brah) moment mom finding her lamb. You so happy the tears began to flow at the wonder and beauty of God's gift. If ever there was a born Shepherd, created by God to care for the helpless. To truly love them.....its you Cammie. What a special man you are. What a joy you are. Humanity is safe in you. Psalm 100: 3 Know that the Lord Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Little lambs are one of the sweetest infant animals. It's interesting to watch u in Scotland, then Canada and the USA and see how different things are done with sheep in the 3 different countries. I use to live in the UK (I was born in the USA and raised here but my mom is Scottish and my dad is English), I would go hiking all the time in Yorkshire moors and the sheep weren't bothered. I use to pet them and they just look at u like, hey up! You alright...lol

Goodness, watching the moms and lambs scramble to sort themselves out is a good laugh. Watching that one momma come back for her lamb was amazing! I couldn't help but be reminded of one of our ewes who loved her lamb so much that she couldn't see the forest for the trees so to speak. She would be so caught up running around and yelling for her lamb that she wouldn't notice her lamb calling back to her a couple feet away. I often had to go running after her with lamb in tow because she would just book it like a bat out of hell out of the milking parlor looking for her lambie and she would be halfway across the field before I or the lamb could catch up. Which was hilarious the first time, but not so much by the third. I could probably run a marathon in muck boots now because of her! Lol!

It's a beautiful thing. Much love to you all from Nova Scotia!

That huge lamb reminded me of the lamb that Big Mama had back in December in Sandi Brock ‘s channel. I love watching your channel because it’s interesting to see how the different farmers do things and what the different types of breeds they have. You might want to get one of those hand pumps like Sandi got to relieve the pain and pressure when their lambs can’t latch as the tit is too large. It takes only a couple of minutes to milk each side and you can use it to feed the lambs which might reduce the amount of milk replacer and colosseum you have to keep on hand. It has been a huge blessing for Sandi during this lambing as she has had a lot of triplets and premature lambs and those who have gotten cold and are too weak to get up and nurse because they lose their sucking reflex. Hope your show went well.

Just a suggestion, to hobble the lamb, pass the string around one foreleg, pass the strings BEHIND the head and around the other foreleg. I wouldn’t worry about the size disparity, I fostered on the only lamb available which was tiny to a huge Texel single. They looked ridiculous but the big Texel mum loved them both and paid particular attention to ‘her’ runt. I guess it’s a case of judgement, all too often I prepared a lamb to foster on, but with first time lambers, decided their over big lamb was enough.

I love animals, they all have their place. But you can't abide a predator that just gorges himself on your flock. Best to take him out, he was too reliant on the herd and ye don't want those lessons being passed on to the next generation of kits. I am so glad to see you in better spirits Cammy! Keep your head up, losing some just happens. Don't be embarrassed about welling up, it's always good to see a mum who knows what she is doing and doing it well, especially when that mothering instinct is the difference between 2 happy lambs or 2 pet lambs. You might want to do something about the tire tracks though! Bless the poor sheep that already lost one eye to the crows.

Glad they survived. A friend of mine breeds beef cattle and horses, and is very careful to manage feed in pregnancy so that birthing mums don’t have complications with very big babies. Hi from across the pond, northeast Georgia, to be exact. Beautiful green grass! I’m so glad you were able to get the fox eliminated! Love the brown spotted sheep, but they all are very pretty - especially the babies!!! 😀

Another great video. You capture all the work you have to put in. Pastures look good. If you keep having half grown lambs you could be first to fall sale. That is a huge lamb!

So so so gorgeous. A sea of new lambs and ewe’s in the sunshine on the verdant paddock ( I would say in this sunburnt country ). Cammy, this is pure joy to behold. Thank you.

When I was in college, many moons ago, my family went to England and Scotland for a 3 week holiday. The Scottish people were very kind. And we got lost on a drive. The sheep came running over for pets and I'm sure they thought food. I loved the rock fences. The Shepherd helped us back to the b and b. It is a beautiful country. I didn't want to leave. Blessings.
