I know the guy he's talking about. Don't know where he came from. Haven't seen him since. But I was repeatedly failing my first ever V15. Just pounding my head against the rock and this shortish man skedaddled out from a set of shrubs. Freckled, badly sunburnt with a pretty obvious fake mustache and wig, and introduced himself "The name's Mitb....Mike". He strapped on, kept repeating "You can do this." over and over, gave me a Rungne chalk bag for some reason, and sent me up that rock like I had gained squirrel powers. Love you Mike, wherever/whoever you are

mike is just the name of a spirit that takes the form of a belayer. when you climb with mike you can climb anything but part of the deal is that no one can ever know. mike belays people purely for the beauty of climbing and is probably haunting Said for breaking the agreement.

If you search "Richard Simpson Obsession" you'll find a 2009 Vimeo video with him campusing 1-5-9 and climbing 8B+ at the school room -- so he likely had the physical ability to do the route at least.

The weird part you left out was that Mike was actually also filming that day and DID reach out to Patagonia. Crazy thing is while he was pulling out the footage the video got corrupted, thankfully though there was another Czech Myke filming that whole tech catastrophe. Now we narrowed the problem down to finding this Myke person.

So been in extreme sports for 25 years, when rock climbing came time for its turn, I filmed all of it. Every on-site , every flash of routes I was working on or wanted to do. So that way, when someone was like “you didn’t do that” it’s like oooooo reallly? Lol, got all my climbing vids locked in private idk I’m gonna put them back out soon, moving to Utah this year for school, and haven’t climbed outdoor for four or five years now. I’m hella excited, and gonna get a new go pro, and stuff , and literally film, every second of me in , the forest, and at the crags then edit them post them. My dream though as a dirt jumping builder, we be to bolt lines. I’ve got tons of lines I wanted to bolt in spearfish canyon SD. If you Goto the blue sky crag, after 30% up the trail when the swoop backs slow down I rebuilt the entire trail there so my ex could walk it. I added all those giant lime stone steps with “Henry Anderson” we spent a week widening the trail, and re grading the slop so it would be easier for her to walk up. We ain’t together anymore but if she ever doubted my love she can go hike that trail. Cause I poured blood sweat , and tears into it. Anyways at the top of the trail you turn left or turn right to splitter crack. If you turn left , and follow it to the end forget the routes name it’s a 5.8 arret. There is a 120’+ tall crack thasts ina dihedral , and never been cleaned or bolted. This was in 2019 last I checked. If I’m correct, if that was bolted that crack would be the longest crack climb in South Dakota on sport. Because it’s tall enough to multi pitch that section. Cause it is like 60-80’ then a flat section but the crack keeps going another 60-90’. Was gonna bolt it when I lived there with henny but I moved. So if any of you crux dudes are reading this please bolt that route, and name it “crack kills” I’ll forever be your friend :) Sorry for the long response I’m half asleep

Hi - Im the czech guy who filmed him send action directe, unfortunately my camera was struck by lightning and caught fire to the footage was destroyed but I can assure you that its true that I filmed him in the post office with an envelope labelled action and he paid the full amount to Mike the post-office worker who was told by his wife to get off Instagram to send the envelope with FedEx directly to its destination... We even went bouldering with him afterwards but had to ditch him after he sprained his ancle trying the start of a VB at the gym.

I remember sending action, It was an accident, I thought I was on Feiste Fauste just to the right. I did get it on film, but my iPhone fell in the water on the way out, and my belayer died of chlamydia before he could tell the story (i told him to leave her alone) So who wants to sponsor me? As a Czech, when people say "Czechoslovakian", I personally do not take offence. But I do think they're ignorant. Czechoslovakia dissolved over 30 years ago, it's not that unreasonable to expect educated westernes to notice. You never cared to find out what country Adam Ondra was born in?

The bolt route at kilnsey, Adam ondra looked at & walked away with no comment, the trad route at thorn crag I checked out with a very very on form, very very talented grit guy years back & we did the same. So the technically hardest bolted, trad & boulder problems in the UK are all fake. It's a huge embarrassment that nobody talks about really 😂

Send- ascend a rock climbing route in an unbroken fashion, without falling and being caught by your belayer. If you fall and are caught on belay but still make it to the top, you’re making it to the top “bolt to bolt” Send it to the moon

This happened to me though, I climbed Indian Face a test peice chop route in Wales UK I got a guy walking by to hold my rope. No-one believed me but I don't care. I was there, I know what I did.
