The Biggest Animals Ever Caught on HD Camera!

Ойын-сауық

This massive alligator appeared on a golf course in Florida.
It is over 4.5 meters long! (that's about 3 Danny devito's!)
What many people don't realize, is that just like with the human race where some people grow extra large and become giants among men, in the animal kingdom, a similar thing happens.
Deep down in the ocean is a great place to catch a glimpse of these gigantic animals.
Giant squid normally inhabit deeper waters, but this inquisitive youngster strayed into Toyama bay in Japan on Christmas eve.
At 4 meters long it may seem massive, but it's still young, once it reaches adulthood it could be over 12 meters! that's the height of 2 giraffes! (or 8 Danny Devito's)
The Giant Freshwater Stingray is the largest freshwater fish on the planet, this one was caught in Thailand and was estimated to weigh around 350 kilos.
But when it comes to kilos... the Giant Sunfish beats them all.
This one was captured off the coast of Portugal and broke the world's heaviest fish record, weighing an incredible 2744 kilos! That's about as heavy as 4 cows!
When looking for giant animals it's sometimes hard to pick out the real from the fake.
This Shark here for example, isn't real, it's CGI and was part of a documentary about Megalodon.
A similar thing is true of this popular thumbnail.
The shark is real but it's taken from a different image,
The oil tanker is the Sirius Star and as you can tell by the lettering on its side, it has been flipped and probably came from this photo that appeared in the media when it was hijacked by pirates back in 2008.

Personally we prefer this image of the Meg attacking a yacht...
The shark in this clip may look fake but it is actually 100% real, as are the divers.
This shark lives in the Dubai Mall aquarium.
It's not a great white but actually a Sand Tiger Shark and it looks the way it does because it's missing an eye and has deformed gums.
This is a giant African Bush Elephant, the largest terrestrial animal.
The tallest recorded specimen had a shoulder height of about 4 meters, or about as tall as James Harden (if he stood on LeBron James's shoulders) and as you can see in this footage, this one isn't far off.
This, URGH! this is just horrible! It's an Amazonian Giant Centipede and has grown to be over 30cm long!
This guy is called Knickers, he's a steer from west Australia that was saved from the abattoir because he was just too big to be processed, since then he has continued to grow and has now reached the incredible size of nearly 2 meters from floor to shoulder.
Gigantism isn't just limited to sea creatures, insects, and mammals though.
Reptiles can also grow to an incredible size.
This snake is a giant pied reticulated python and she is a whopping 6 meters long.
and for those of you wondering exactly how many "Devito's" that is... it's 4!
It may look prehistoric or maybe even fake but this Shoebill stork is real and pretty impressive, not only because of its height, which can be up to 1.5 meters, but also because it can actually fly
Looking almost like a giant tick, the Coconut Crab is a monster among anthropods.
It can weigh up to 4.5 kilos and grow up to be 1 meter wide!
In addition to coconuts, they have also been known to hunt and eat rats and medium-sized birds.
We've all seen big spiders like the tarantula before, but The Goliath BirdEater is a beast amongst beasties!
Weighing up to 170 grams and with a leg span of up to 30cm, The Goliath Birdeater, much like the Coconut crab will eat both birds and rodents although it prefers insects and frogs.
Looking like something from the Alien movies, this is actually a queen from the Macrotermes natalensis species of termite.
These queens can lay hundreds of eggs a day and can grow up to a crazy 15cm long!
The giant otter is the largest, and noisiest species of otter. The males can grow up to 1.8 meters long and sightings are rare because there are only approximately 5000 giant otters left in existence.
This was captured on Hutchinson Island, Florida. A massive leatherback sea turtle returns to sea after leaving her eggs buried on the beach. Leatherbacks can grow up to 1.8 meters long and weigh up to 500 kilos!
Also known as "Jumbo squid" the Humboldt squid have a mantle length of up to 1.5 meters long, this makes them one of the largest species of squid that exist.
