Feathersticking!
I noticed when sawing big logs, you're avoiding the edge of the saw that has the largest teeth. You might have faster results if you use all the blade.
Fun video, very entertaining well done guys!

Great review! Great mix of fun and knowledge! DBK Style
Hi guys! You are the best bushcraft channel ever 👏👏👏
WOOOT! I have the Silky Katanaboy 650 and it is a huge beast! And this is even bigger! Awesome! But you are right, it is made for cross cutting large trees. The teeth size and the Teeth Per Inch are simply too low to saw small stock.
As always, Best intro, Review, Content and KZread Channel !!
I've seen you guys try to break cheap folders.. how about try a Benchmade 940. Love your channel! Buying a bark river soon !
Congratulations on 200,000 subs boys
hahaha love it when you get that deep voice and add reverb! Gets me laughting every time :D
Hi, greetings from a fellow Dutchman. I like Silky saws, especially the Hayauchi pole saws. I never tried a KatanaBoy but now I feel like I´ll have to. Though I guess for me the 500 will be big enough.
Dutch Bushcraft Shinobi. Cant wait for the video game, action figures and sound track
You guys are the funniest whilst informatist youtuberists ever. Loving your work. MORE MORE MORE
I love you guys, haha. Please, never stop making videos!
@3:09 a guy from work runs to my desk screaming CARTOONS CARTOOOONS!!! ...than he sent me to buy him a coffee with “top granny” written on it... I think you guys struck a chord with him :) Btw BEST INTRO EVEEEERRRR!!!!!

Holy frijoles! That is one huge saw. Darn thing cuts like a laser, too.

you wont regret it! Get yourself something like the gomboy 210 and a pocketboy 130 for the small bushcrafter :) You'll handle the saw of course but it's a good excuse to get 2.

Great like always
When you guys got the Bark river gunny Scandi, did you need to reprofile it? Does it work very well out of the box? And does the skerper (Eden quality) stropping compound work well with cpm 3v?
@DutchBushcraftKnives
6 жыл бұрын
Hey frederik, the eden compound works on 3v but it's kinda its limit. Bark river compound does a much faster job with 3v. The only gunny scandi we have belonged to virtuovice who had already sharpened it so we don't know
Where do I find the songs these guys use!? I love the show and love the music as well!
Can you guys make another video abbout birch-water? keep up the great work👌
That's a big saw!... but then again, you guys are quite small... For some Dutch guys that is, haha! Vette video en vette zaag!👍
So guys, for a serious outdoor long term saw blade, what do you recommend: Katanaboy 500, 650 or 1000? Pros and Cons. I'm in doubt between 650 and 1000. The 1000 is a exaggerated for me.
When does this come out? I need this!
Nejlepší channel na světě😁❤
That was a fun one!!!
You dudes make seriously entertaining videos. Also, please get your podcast on pocket cast app
This is the best youtube channel😀
What do you think about Martiini Knives (Finland)? NO videos about them?
What are your thoughts about kukri knives
Greatest hand saw on Earth! I am an ISA Arborist and tree climber with 12 years experience, and the reason why myself (and everybody else in the industry) use Silky Saws is because they are superior in every way, to every saw, every where. Props to Sweden for Fanno saws, though.
Now that's a big one!
he guys i have a challange for you. try surviving with only keychain knives!
Checked the description, but no musician link! Does anyone know who's music it is in this video? Thanks
Love this chanel sm

im having a hard time with the burr when honing my knives any tips? i dont have a proper strop
@DutchBushcraftKnives
6 жыл бұрын
Get a strop that's the tip haha. You can also try sliding the edge in the opposite direction you would sharpen without pushing a few strokes per side
Hey DBK ! A quick question : What is with the viking steelß The edgeretention and all the stuff? You didnt say much in the Viking knife video.
@DutchBushcraftKnives
6 жыл бұрын
it's the same as AUS-Mod8. it's a very tough stainless steel. It's easy to sharpen but the edge retention is mediocre. It's a great steel for bigger blades that have to take a lot of stress

Is the the german Edition in Black Red yellow?
Verdomme goeie poep weer heren, complimenten

awesome video once again. Would love to see some dutch knives on the show like Dolden Knives. or maybe even hand forged knives. maybe from Alec steele, see if his fancy Damascus is any good :) his videos are great anyhow

A girl called 'B O K E H'!
wilderness areas in the US don’t allow any mechanical equipment or vehicles, so everyone that works out there clearing/making trails has to use hand saws and axes. so uhhhh thisll do the trick
Wayyyyy toooooo big for me, wouldn't even fit in my backpack lol, great video and hope Mikkie is feeling better xxx
can it be use to fell trees? maybe more tiring than long blade chainsaw.
@DutchBushcraftKnives
6 жыл бұрын
It can but you have to get the technique right otherwise the saw will get stuck easily
Does it juice ?
Legends!
I like this saw
Nog nooit zo snel op een video geklikt

nice like always my friends
I love how the Handels represent my flag pretty well.

Thank you guys ! And greetings from Ukraine. By the way, in my city one company makes quite good big knives. They produce mainly combat knives, but there are a couple of models suitable as a heavy knife for tourism. Maybe guys from this company will be happy to cooperate with you. bbknives.com/en/catalog/army-and-tourist-knives/armijskij-nizh-snajper
Silky is the way to go for saws. Pocket boy is great for throwing In your pack
I know it’s kind of unorthodox, but could you shows us what the best way to sharpen a really long blade like a Katana would be? Because of it’s sheer length, would sharpening it with a water stone like any “knife-sized” knife really be as efficient???
@DutchBushcraftKnives
6 жыл бұрын
If the katana or blade is cheap a belt grinder would be best. I have some 1500 grit belts that leave a very nice polish. For a expensive katana it would be blasphemy haha you would use water stones and a lot of patience

You should try the cold steel finn wolf in CTS XHP steel. I think you would be surprised. :)
I watch all ur vids cauae i love dbk
I think it could have been done faster with the katanaboy if you use all the teeth but that it difficult
*dope*
