The translation is weird, you would have to make it make sense in English by using the Grammer in English. Top text's translation word for word is "But Ban all of the tuners?" Doesn't make sense without translating into actual English rules "But why ban all the tuners?" Why you adding the word because in English that's how you make it a question. In the bottom text it's "I'll ban the necessary to save this company" word for word the translation. Where it should be English proper, "I will ban whatever is necessary to save this company." Edit: Just know the joke doesn't make sense in English if you didn't watch monsters inc. Specifically in Spanish.

iBenjamin1000 it’s a thing it’s why there is ash blossom products. They actually do it on a regular basis in the OCG and only one a year in the TCG. We basically kept needlefiber alive in this format.

@@someguynamedsomething9612 well there are actually more tha tuse it than you think, rouge decks often have the problem of not being able to play theough hand traps and thus they rely on called by the grave and thus aren't high in the meta. However we evoled to the point where meta decks consistenly use it cause they can do their combo jsut fine with 1 card less and now have a free hand trap negate through it as well.

In all seriousness, Called by the grave was realistically meant to aid rogue decks since the meta decks like Adamancipator can just extend for days and don't have to worry about Ash since they excavate. Without Called by being at 3, rogue decks are just going to suffer to compete even more now

I dislike called by the grave's card design. It's a card that just says no to interaction, that's not really fair if someone only draws one ash against a glass cannon combo deck. I really like limiting it because it takes the game away from building glass cannon decks that do the same thing every turn, those decks are not fun to play against.

@@DeathDragon00000 while that is a fair point, it also hurts decks that aren't able to brute force their way through several hand traps like Adamancipator since when competing against meta decks, rogue decks need as much aid as they can, especially when most of the newer cards that could help rogue decks cost more than the deck itself for a playset. Again I'm not saying you're wrong, but there's more implications for the rogue side of the TCG at first glance

@@DeathDragon00000 That's not how this work, you have more interactions then this card can stop, you have 3 cards in your deck that aren't either extenders nor something you can search. Okay you can't search hts in almost any deck (cause sangan can search them all but that's too slow) Anyways, what I mean is you're playing 2-3 of that doesn't combo with anything and when you say this card takes away interaction it does not at all reason why this is, because in Yu-Gi-Oh is a game of outs, where the interaction comes in is that did you draw it in order to keep interaction going? If the answer is no then you already lost. Also, math does not pan out. Most decks where running 6 hts to even 9. And 3 of those don't interact with called by usually. (Infinite Impermenance) Now, let's say for sake of argument you play 3 Veiler and 3 ash because it fits better in your deck as Veiler is a level 1 tuner. You are more likely to draw 1 of the hand traps over called by. Most people also forget this, you can't use the card that was banished by called by in the next turn, yours or your opponents, but this is a big but the game would have been over anyways due to the interaction, being crutch point to stop them from extending further or they already had the extra extender anyway. (i.e Adamnicpator/any combo deck) You saying the lack of interaction doesn't work, because there was no interaction to begin with those combo decks anyways. Again, I know it could be frustrating to hear this, but this is how YGO is overall.

@@thehonestwoobat5191 Well, you're not wrong in that sense, but most combo decks can OTK where stun decks can't, plus the deck doesn't lose as often to a couple cards cause there is as many cards to stop monster effects or pop as there is to s/t cards to break the board of either.

Agreed man. Called by the grave is still such a useful staple. Dropping it to just one makes it so that playing it seems to have less of a value. There are still lots of instances wherein you can have the cbtg but still have no useful targets so it really doesnt make any sense.

I've seen both sides of the called argument, so it seems to be warranted (because it facilitates the kinds of decks that just play solitaire with someone in the background getting smacked with a newspaper when they try to make the game 2-player) but I can't even imagine what kind of thing to replace it with that won't be 1. equally abused or 2. ignored in favor of others that allow option 1.

Needlefiber is the Dante of Links

Needlefiber is only a problem because of the problem tuners that tried to make bootleg link summoning into a playable mechanic. For instance o-lion is broken right? Well only after needlefiber was introduced because it’s a free +2. Before then, I don’t really remember o lion being played outside summon sorc combos. With needlefiber every tuner has an o-lion-esque effect except it can only be used as after a “synchro summon” (needlefiber is definitely the most synchro summon link monster) and that was what o-lion was intended for
