If you got a pull-behind travel trailer, you wouldn't have to worry about her getting sea sick from riding in the RV because she'll be sitting right beside you in the truck

Depends on the level of motion sickness, I get queasy with it just rocking in the wind when set up. I know that is kinda extreme but it is what it is.

There are some great trailers! Try renting first to see what you like or don’t like. RVs do sway a bit, but wondering if the springs/struts are bad. I get carsick but not usually in an RV.

*ANY* RV-type vehicle is the worst thing you can ever buy in your life...a trailer, a motorhome...doesn't matter. They all #SUCK!!!

An old fisherman's remody for motion sickness is to eat kosher dill pickles & saltine crackers. It may sound weird, but it works. I ran shrimp boats in the Gulf for 6 yrs & know this for a fact.

We had an RV when our 3 boys were small and until they left home and none of us ever got queazy when we rode in it. We traveled all over the United States. So for sure not everybody has that problem. This one looks really nice and well taken care of. It will go fast.

See Jimmy Houston Outdoors posted earlier today. Chris had a stroke/aneurysm. Jimmy is heart broken & looked exhausted. Fridays, I look forward to getting Lucy videos that Chris had gotten during the week of all the deer!

I think Dutch wants something that they can live in while they build their house !!

Daniel, have you seen the post on Jimmy Houston ' s channel from Tuesday afternoon where Jimmy told us that his wife Chris has had a major Stroke as of Monday evening? If not, go to his channel and watch Jimmy share the status on Chris.

Dusty should buy it. Use it a day rental at the campground. Great cabin extender for kids or a second family. Great to avoid no vacancies while the lumber dries after you both cut it with your new sawmill.

We bought a 23 footer a long time ago and never used it for traveling due to 8mpg. It started out as a hang out for the younger ones like urs were doing. Then when the older kids came home we used it as an apartment so we all had space. I finally convinced the wife next will be a travel trailer. Good luck to all of you! Love your channel.

I have had a big motorhome and a class c similar to yours as well as 2 travel travel trailers. Basically they all boiled down to a lot of work. We now have a house at the lake within an hour from our main residence and are happy with that. You should not have any trouble selling your motorhome. Love your channel!

Yep a lot of people get sick in enclosed spaces that are moving. Sorry to hear about that! Get a pull behind camper, that way she can ride up front in a normal vehicle.

We are sorry it did not work out for you. We just started RVing in our7 th decade of life, as seniors, and we are loving it. We have a 25 ft. Fifth wheel with one slide out. It is big enough for the two of us and we enjoy the space it has. We can park it and still have access to our truck to get around.

Forest river is a good brand of RV. They make them in the town I live in. Wish DJ didn't get sick because camping is a blast. Done it most of my life since I was very little. Anyway have a great day good luck on selling it

Not to worry. We have all bit off projects that were more than we could chew...on some level. Yes, I'm a little disappointed that the project will not go forward but certainly looking forward to whatever new project you have in mind. Tripling the size of the bass pond and building a mini-cabin might be a family friendly project. A complete remodel of the family cabin on the creek might work. Have a blessed week.

My brother had car sickness as a child, yet grew up racing cars, boats & flying planes, even an acrobat. Went to HI to visit a friend who took him out in the big choppy water, in a large boat, to watch some large boats race and he got sea sick. The captain had someone being him up to the bridge & had him put his hand on the wheel that steers the boat. Immediately his stomach settled down and the sea sickness was gone. The captain told him, "You have control issues!" My brother said, "How did you know?" They all laughed. Captain said, "I have the same problem."

We did the same thing, bought one fall of 2019, fixed it all up. Now we have decided that it is just not for us. I have to ALWAYS be the one driving, even in the passenger seat I get car sick. And heaven forbid if the wind is blowing at night, even with the levelers I feel it a rockin' (and not in the fun way!).

Maybe the problem isn't the Mrs. Getting sick. Maybe it's the Mr's driving that's the issue. 😂😂😂 I'M KIDDING guys! Good luck finding a buyer.

Sell it as is. Nice RV. It will sell quick. Canopy wear out. No problem. It can be replaced. Sorry to hear DJ has motion sickness. We had our RV for 10yrs. Camped alot and traveled to Corpus Christi, Padre Island, Texas . Red River, NewMexico, Arizona, Colorado. Our children loved it. It was fun while we had it. Best of luck on your next adventure. Best seasickness remedy is ginger! We took capsules for our first cruise and it worked wonders. We went with 11 other couples and towards the end ran in to rough seas. Everyone was sick except us! Started 2 weeks ahead of time, 2 caps a day and continued during the cruise plus no side effects. Can get them from a health food store! Have continued with other cruises even though the ships have gotten better! Just don’t want to take chances especially on the side trips!

Sounds like you need a fifth wheel and upgrade to a larger truck, 3500 with dualies, maybe a Grand Design toy hauler so you can haul that cart thingy with you when you travel. If you decide to go this route find someone who has that sort of set up and put DeeJay in the truck for a test ride of several hours to see how she handles the ride. There's no way I could have done a motor home, but a fifth wheel is just fine for me.

You shouldn't have a problem selling the RV its really nice and floor plan is great, price is really good.

RVs are great!!! Grew up tent first, then a pop up on truck and then a RV.. great Clamping!! We used our RV all year long - Camping, travel to see distance relatives, snowmobile trips..... just air water out during winter and a portapottie, that have to take out a drain.. But true, if easily motion sickness - wouldn’t be good if can’t ride backwards or on the side....

I love seeing your wife on video she has a beautiful smile! Sorry to hear you feel a Class C motorhome is not for your family. We have lived full time in our 39' toy hauler 5th wheel since 2015 and we love the lifestyle of course we have since retired and its just the 2 of us. You should have no issues selling it it's in great shape!

But you're traveling in the TRUCK while towing the 5th wheel. In a motor home all in one, you are inside a house that's moving. That sets off the motion sickness in a lot of people that wouldn't normally get "car sick".

I have problems with motion sickness also. Its the worst thing. I even get really motion sick after surgerys. In a car I have to be sitting forward. I found the patch works the best.

get a static strap and have it fastened on axle about 1 inch from ground as you move the static charge goes to ground and motion sickness leaves

Daniel, I have had 2 different class 3 RV's and your RV should not sway unless you had a real bad wind. First, did you check the pressure in the air bags. Low pressure will make your RV sway during normal driving. I purchased a travel trailer last time and found it easier to drop off and still have a vehicle to go places with.

Maybe if the price went down a few thousand but the age (2006) really depreciates fast on motor homes! You can buy a brand new one 2021 for $25 grand off a lot!! Paying $200 a month if that!!

DJ. I have always had problems with motion sickness. When I retired from work, my husband wanted a RV. Guess what, for 10 years I drove a 30 ft motorhome pulling our call behind, all over the country. We also wanted to go on some ocean cruises. My dr recommended ginger. You can get them in capsules or candy ginger. No more motion sickness. You might want to try ginger. Most drug stores or health food stores have them.

Love watching your videos guys. DeeJay is becoming so much more confident in front of a camera and she is a pleasure to watch. The whole family is a joy!

It's a beautiful RV!! We have one similar only ours is a pull-behind on a trailer. There is actually a lot of room in there. Don't feel bad DJ! My daughter is the same way. A 5th wheel is far better than a bumper pull camper, if nothing else it's safer pulling. We have a 5th wheel and love it! However a diesel pick up is almost a must, especially if you go to the mountains.

So very sorry to hear about the RV not working out. I am sorry I can’t watch as I used to due. I am recovering from cancer surgery and facing chemo and radiation in the next few weeks. Hopefully, once the treatments conclude I will be a better subscriber again.

We have a 37' Motor Coach Class A and love it. We do 6 mons out of the year and looking soon to go full time ans sell the house.

Oh that's to bad you can't use it, they are a lot of fun. I think from looking a the drivers side you have a generator which comes in mighty handy... We came to your area back in the 90's in our motorhome to visit some friends who had a park model in a campground called cedar blue.. We drove up to the gate guard he said oh your from Maine we been expecting you... I said what happened, he said oh we had a tornado come through yesterday... That didn't go over to good with my wife... Less just say we had a short visit... Goof Luck on the sale...

I TOO GET SICK EASILY. WHEN I DROVE WITH MY HUSBAND COAST TO COAST,THERE WERE TIMES I WOULD HAVE TO READ THE MAPS WHILE RIDING(BIG NO NO). AT WALMART THEY SELL COMPRESSION WRIST BANDS ( DESIGNED FOR CHEMO PATIENTS). I SWEAR BY THEM USED TO WEAR THEM ALL THE TIME. THEY WORK BY ACUPRESSURE WORTH A TRY IF YOU'D WANT TO KEEP THE RV.THESE BANDS REALLY WORK INSTEAD OF DRUGS.
