Фильм және анимация

Also while you mentioned about the LMS, LNER and SR considered electrification in 1920s, ironically parts of European railways such as Danish Railways, Swedish Railways and even America in some areas had “already” electrified their railways and mainline in the 1920s and 1930s meaning Continental Europe and America are “ahead” of electrification than Britain’s Big Four Railway

Well the Line that goes through where I live is a Main Line that was build between 1865 and 1890 that had reached my Village here in Southern Germany by 1870 but has never been electrified since and also never will be(Steam Locomotives even lasted here on this Line until 1976!).

What I find remarkable is the fact that the big four era lasted for exactly 1/4 of a century.

I would love to see another American locomotive. Particularly Southern Pacific’s Cab forwards on Donner Pass. Great job as always

Great tribute to one of the UKs most under appreciated quartets.

So fun! Cool to think that both the UK and the US have a set of railways known as the Big Four!

Can you draw any Furness Railway or North Staffordshire locos at some point? I’d love to see someone talk about them in more detail.

Suggestion for the next episode of “Paint Your Engine” Victorian Railway S Class (steam locomotive) Reason: Withdrawal started in the 1950s and even after the wreck with both S Class steam locomotive and an S Class diesel, this ramped withdrawal of the S Class steam locomotives much faster. So far only the tender of the streamlined S Class is left but none of the original or streamlined S Class steam locomotives left.

Bit odd mentioning just the Caley and the Highland as the Scottish constituents, the G&SWR was a much more major constituent than the Highland ever was.
