That's because double standards against men are seen as normal and right activity at best and just innocent girl-ish behavior at worst and double standards against women are seen as misogyny and oppression.

As the show progressed, Stuart became more of a main character, especially when he started living with Howard and Bernadette.

Oh I remember how good this show used to be. I watched it till season 7th, then with S8 it went downhill but I kept watching it till S10. You know, I thought that at some point the show would be funny and interesting again. But it looks that it never happened.
