The fact that no real explanation was needed on Penny's part makes me wonder how often Mrs Cooper gets calls from the gang about her son

I feel like only Penny brings him out of his shell. Whether you see it as a possible romance or just plain friendship, Penny puts up with a lot of his crap, simply because she understands how broken and confused he is as an adult, and she respects how fragile he is, deep down. Despite how mean he can be to her, for the most part she still treats him delicately. For that, I respect her.

Personally, I think they just have a really deep friendship where they both benefit. She basically told him in a lot of words and in a lot of ways, that if he had a social problem, that he come to her, and she gets a good friendship with a guy who has absolutely no interest in her and can give her a very unbiased perspective on an issue she's having.

33kaus holokaust Lol this is false. When you hug your mom for instance, this is for girls and boys, Oxytocin is released. This is a hormone that is also used for the maternal binding with a baby. Boys do not tend to find partners that look like their mothers. This is mainly due to your environment where most moms are similar to other people in the environment. Boys are confused when they are dumped because girls/women do in general have a good reason lol. Also Fathers most of the time have a better bond with their boys. Their mom makes them feel safe during childhood, but their Dad actually keeps them safe.

i love how even though mary cooper and sheldon don't see eye to eye, unlike leonard's mother she has provided him with utmost love and care and it's reflected in sheldon's attachment to his mother. i would take sheldon's mother over leonard's any day despite mary's overly religious personality

+miz na It's mostly the fact that shes a psychiatrist and it's a very well known fact that virtually all psychiatrists are crazy (in a bad way) and that's why they take up psychiatry. They are almost always completely disassociated with humanity and many are so far down the rabbit hole they likely should be committed. There are however some sane ones, in fact I have met two who clearly have taken their understanding of the human psyche to heart and it shows in how they interact with others.

Mary Cooper is the only mother who is not a narcissist, either graspingly so (Mrs Wolowitz), concerned only about surface things (Mr Koothrapali) or cold heartedly schizoid (Leonard's mother.) MIght there possibly be some connection, that she is loving and lovable because of it, not despite it? Hmm.
