UPDATE: Bible 2 (the free one) is currently working but with very bare bones features.

Packets are envelopes of information, so basically what is sent between computers over the internet. This is how the dps meter works, it looks at the network traffic between your computer and Lost Ark's servers, then it deconstructs those "packets" into spells, dmg, buffs etc. Deconstructing this or reverse engineering (RE) it, is a lot of work. Every time SG make changes to their code, it might have to be RE'd again. There are huge privacy concerns with allowing all your network traffic to be sent to some foreign server. It's like letting someone read all your emails but them promising to only read the ones related to Lost Ark. Unless you're also actively monitoring the packets your computer sends out (which I'm guessing 99% of Lost Ark players would have no idea how to do) then it's a dumb idea. The developers will say that they only send information that's related to Lost Ark but it's a slippery slope and something that would be difficult to police. In saying this people give out way too much information on the daily between social media and don't grasp the serious repercussions if this data falls into the wrong hands, especially if a bad actor knows what they're doing. I hope meter 2 figures out how to deconstruct the packets and keep the dps meter running locally. Wishing all Lost Ark players stay safe out there, while being cautious with their and others information. 🥸

very simplified version, people don't know that when updates happen, you have to relook at packet structures and decryption keys could also change. It takes time to recheck and whatnot, but it's not impossible. I hope snow opens a patron so ppl can donate for him to keep up the work

TLDR Memo raided ATK after his stream then ATk say " dont raid me, and i dont want you ever to raid me" and " you raiding me bring down my mood" Memo got blind side by this and try to DM ATk to find out what is going on. ATK refuse to tell him and then block him, reason why ATK is mad base on process of elimination is most likely during his Slur incident many people say " Memo guides is better any way" that got to ATK feeling. and there is some werido in ATK chat that pretty much glaze Memo and flame ATK. which Meme did not know at the time.

The paywall is 100% greed. Greed ruins all things. I support the paywall. It's just business right. I just hope Smilegate finally does something about this. DPS meter should be an underground thing and everyone is so open about it. The DPS meter is a good tool. But... as with all tools, people ruin and misuse it.

Honestly parsing is such a BIG motivation to raid....not knowing your performance is such a letdown and kinda of thinking of taking a break till t4

@@omarnaffeti1847​​⁠same I pug all raids cept one character every week and Ive prolly only seen someone flame twice in 2 years?Only when it was visible in game... like a guy ran around ALL Akkan g3 then tried to flame a supp. They still didn't even talk about their DPS which was damn near below lantern. People don't usually say something till someone talks 😂

@@ragnorak5095 you dont see the flamers everytime because the bible is illegal so they wont say "You are doing ZDPS" because that is saying "I'M USING THE BIBLE YOU CAN BAN ME AGS" (I dont think they will ban because of how many people use it btw) But i have 2 experiences with flamers

More than likely whats going to happen is the guy who has the meter behind a paywall will receive a DMCA from smilegate once they find out about it.

Just for reference the component used is meter-core, each big updates bible 1 need to rework this and by what they are saying it's taking a lot of time on their side, and that's why bible 2 has no solution right now they never had to handle meter-core which is like the name of the component is the core of both bible. Frankly bible 1 has every right to refuse sharing it because of the work they do for it every patch, but it's just a scummy move to not give a heads up and principally when a big patch comes out.

Which one doesnt work ? Loa logs or the other?

not obsessing the dmg, but overall performance, kinda sleepy to play support without detailed logs since all the game tell you is you do 8% atk buff bla2 etc which is useless.

Supports are only 25% of the raids at best. More dps are using the dps meter. I've seen more than a handful of times players making rude comments out of nowhere that wouldn't happen without meter. Raids will be literal fast reclear and someone will say umprompted "Yo this person is doing Z get me out if this party". I've had more jails because people are ignoring mechs trying to parse.

Not obsessing it just helps, helped me prio my gems adquisition, helped me get better on my supports, pointed me the areas of raid i was lacking like x phase of a boss im not BA correctly etc. Its great information to have. Raid in 8 toons every week, only ever had 1 person use the bible to call someone out

@@JeyJ24 Brand and lwc/mos itself contributing of 33-35% total raid dps, and yes, the game only tell you that you only do 25% raid dps while in actuall calculation you do almost 50% of the raid dmg with those set up.

@@qubixslol2356 My point was that support are 2/8 spots in a raid being 25% of our class population at most if you dont want to say there is a support shortage. DPS have a higher chance of using DPS meter just by numbers alone. Sorry for the confusion. I'm aware even before meter that supports' DPS contribution is the highest in the game. I've been calling them the better CO summoner class for that reason. Thank you though for clearing up my vague statement.
