The Bible Reveals the TRUTH About Dragons

Were dragons real? If so, what were they? How do dragons fit in to the biblical framework? Discover the answers to these questions in an interactive workshop designed for the entire family and led by Buddy Davis. Buddy is a paleo-artist and has sculpted many of the dinosaurs here at the Creation Museum. In this workshop, he will teach you how to sculpt your own dragon head: a duckbill dinosaur named Lambeosaurus. Come join the adventure because here, there be dragons.

    When I was stationed in England, I got the 'bug' to hunt down old tapestries and paintings of St George and the Dragon. The older pictures I found, the more the creature resembled a raptor. It could jump 20 feet, keep up with a 1200 pound horse and take one down. A man in armor, fighting that with a sword, no wonder a soldier was made a saint for killing one.

Even before I’ve watched it [and I will comment back once I’ve watched it ] I thank you for this because I’m deeply interested in dragons. •> Before I was fully a saved baptized Christ-lover/follower, Bible reader as I am now as an adult as I was as a child, for 25 years of adult life I had a multi-faceted pagan spiritual path. •> Interestingly, dragons are everywhere in my life, in art, school mascots, books, my studies, bearded dragon pets, and I even have a big tattoo. •> Today I understand the energetic meaning of them as an earthly life force and Biblically as the powerful fallen one. Today I would never knowingly worship the evil one as a Saved Christian! •> The Lion of Judah and the shepherd are my icons. •>In all major people groups worldwide dragons exists culturally as winged serpents, rainbow serpents, magical, majestic, either malevolent or benevolent creatures.

    I tend to believe that some Pterodactyls just may have survived until Biblical times but they don't look quite like a dragon. The dragons seen inso much Chyneze and European Lore are spiritual dragons. The Chyneze actually being a snake with wings, signifying its spiritual nature and not actual wings. Just like biblical angels in artwork signify their spiritual existence otherwise they might also have bird feet so they could land in trees like Pigeons? I cannot express strongly enough that there is a huge body of Occult (hidden) information about the flying snake dragons of Chynah and the European romanticized versions of dragons. It can best be simplified as a human seeking spiritual enlightenment having to slay the dragons of their personal desires and they are directly related to the snakes on the Caduceus that the medical community uses as a logo. In today's terms it may be someone with a drug or alcohol addiction, or sexual addiction. Slaying the dragon or nailing the snake to a cross has religious and alchemical connotations. For what its worth I would say that 90% of the dragon lore is symbolic of spiritual concepts and perhaps 10% being anecdotal sightings and retelling of stories of sightings throughout time which all lead to the Pterodactyl IMO.

    The Lord confounds the wise by using what the world system might call "foolish"..."Wise" here does not denote Godly wisdom but rather the conceited wisdom of the world system where there is a willful ignorance of intelligent design and thus a willful attempt to exclude a creator. Why exclude a creator you might ask? Well, simply because if I deny a God then I can deceive myself into not needing to be accountable to a higher power. --A Power who sees all my immoral filth that I do in private and in my mind. Let me tell you I know of professors at universities who are exceedingly careful to *look good* in public but behind the scenes they do the most embarrassingly filthy stuff often with the proverbial "plausible deniability." Science, when treated objectively, is an awesome thing. But usually those who shout loudest about how they are objective, are usually those who really take a subjective approach and have turned science into their own religion we call "Scientism".

    Legends of dragons are found among most people groups. For example, there are the stories of Bel and the dragon, the Kulta of Australian aborigines, St. George and the dragon, and of course many Chinese legends. Often, the anatomical descriptions given are consistent, even though they come from separate continents and various times. These depictions match what we know from the fossil evidence of certain dinosaurs. Thus, dinosaurs are known directly from their fossils, and indirectly from cave drawings, tapestries, textiles, figurines, carvings, bas reliefs, and many oral and written eyewitness accounts, most of which are quite old.

    I think this is absolutely plausible. I've often thought about this myself. Thanks for this video Also humans lived alongside species like the giant moa bird and the dodo which only went extinct quite recently. So have an open mind guys. Also I want to add that seamen back in the day used to talk about giant waves that come out of nowhere to devour a schooner. And it's only recently been scientifically proved that rougue waves are a very real existence. But back then people were skeptical or put it down to powers of a sea god.

They said it would appear during the circumcion season, since circumcision was done on river banks, the NDAMATHIA would appear, scare everyone and eat the sacrifices. It would then dive in the water and it would turn the water white as it swam away, it would cause the river to boil.....

  • @nvstewart

    @nvstewart

    Жыл бұрын

    But they do have tails, sort of. It's connected between the legs. Moving the legs will adjust flight characteristics (just like a bird can move it's tail). It's very similar to the wingsuits people use when jumping out of aircraft where they adjust, not only their arms, but their legs as a means of control. Some Female Pterosaurs don't have a large crest like the males do.

  • @root1657

    @root1657

    Aerodynamically it doesn't make much sense to put the rudder there, cause it wouldn't be very effective, and besides the females didn't have them, nor did other species, so, probably not something needed to fly. Might be more likely it's more for showing off in front of the girls.

    @@nvstewart well I was replying to the comment above that did call it a rudder, but KZread notifies everyone that has been in the reply chain, so it's easy to get turned around in here.... But, since you mention it, do we have a word for a vertical-ish stabilizer that turns? Cause the rear horizontal stabilizers that move are often called stabilators because they also act as an elevator.... But I don't see that head ornament being very effective at much of anything really, or I might expect to see a stronger neck to deal with the forces it would bring.

  • @nvstewart

    @nvstewart

    Жыл бұрын

    @@root1657 the only word for vertical-ish stabilizer is rudder, doesn't matter if it is vertical, or at an angle like some aircraft have it. As far as the long crest effecting flight, I could see that it would effect it to a degree, especially higher speed, but I have no clue how fast these things would be able to fly. I would imagine they would be pretty slow, more like a glider, so the crest effecting flight would be minimal at best.

    Early palaeontologists used the term dragon to refer to dinosaur like creatures before the word dinosaur was invented.For example,sir Richard Owen was an anatomist,a biologist,and also a palaeontologist(it was owen who termed the word dinosaur,meaning,”terrible lizard”,in about 1841). Some marine reptiles called “Ichthyosaurs”are displayed in the natural history museum,built by Owen,Owen was the first superintendent of the museum.Several specimens were procured for the museum in 1834 and 1838,before the word dinosaur was invented.Stamped on these specimens is”sea-drag”,which is of course short for sea-dragon.The early geologist Thomas Hawkings wrote a book in 1840 (before the term dinosaur was coined),the title was “book of the great sea-dragons.Ichtyosauri and plesiosaurs….” All the sea creatures were created on day 5 of the creation week-Genesis 1:20-23.

    What happens to all the sea dinosaurs? There are none living. But the fish survived...those obedient were preserved by God in harbouring area amid the turmoil....the dinosaurs weren't created by God, they were formed (breed-engineered) later by man to serve violent war-sport purposes...thus the whole earth was spread with violence. All dinos died in the flood, none were obedient to God's call into the ark...2x T.Rexes 2x brachioasurus and others....don't think so. There was no design in the ark to hold them. They will possibly/ probably be resurrected in the 2nd ressurection. Roman 8: 28-21. JB Philips version. 18-21 In my opinion whatever we may have to go through now is less than nothing compared with the magnificent future God has planned for us. The whole creation is on tiptoe to see the wonderful sight of the sons of God coming into their own. The world of creation cannot as yet see reality, not because it chooses to be blind, but because in God’s purpose it has been so limited-yet it has been given hope. And the hope is that in the end the whole of created life will be rescued from the tyranny of change and decay, and have its share in that magnificent liberty which can only belong to the children of God! Funny how there are no recent remains then of any such creature, and the ones he references from above like dinosaur era are proven to be millions to billons of yrs old. Maybe in reflection been 1940 he sees a plane flying over and been an aboriginal many of which were pretty well isolated in them days didn't understand technology of the day so they apply their own ideas of what they saw? Reminds me a lot of the authors of the bible misinterpreting what they observed and inventing stories, hence the sciences can now demonstrably prove the bible wrong in many key areas.

    @@ClaytonFTW so cite your evidence then and also cite where the term flapping wings were used, I am well aware of using the half life of key elements to determine the age of a rock or fossil where possible, I am well knowledged in the pros and cons of other dating methods so I will have no issue confirming your cited evidence once you present it.

    @@lance9249 Thats exactly it. And as this gentleman says, the term dinosaur was invented in 1841 to describe the bones dug up all around the world. So what were people seeing that they described as dragons? My problem is that reptiles are cold blooded ie they don't do well in cold climates. They need a warm climate in order to function. I'm in the UK and the only reptiles here are small, they hibernate and are not particularly common. Sure there are some small snakes and lizards but that's all. Yet we have all these dragon stories. And they persist until the 1800s. There are stories of small pterasaurs in a Welsh village that ate the chickens and they were a damn nuisance . So they were killed off. I came across the Congo stories of giant long necked lizards and the bipedal creatures seen running (not jumping) across the Aussie northern territories. All current as in the last 100 or so years.There are others too.

    I find it funny you say that since pretty much all of this is invention by men, dinosaurs went extinct millions of years ago before and ape or human showed up and let’s say for the sake of argument that dinosaurs lived along side man and were as numerous as any other animal of the time, you really don’t think that at least a handful of species would’ve survived??? Either in remote areas or on islands? Don’t you think they would’ve survived until relatively recently? I mean I’m sure the romans would’ve loved to capture Trex’s, ankylosaurs or triceratops in their colosseum, or royalty and nobility would’ve kept some in their menagerie and we’d find their remains along side their other pets like elephants, lions, or dogs kept in their palace, someone somewhere would’ve tamed some and used them for labor or in wars the same way people tamed elephants to be used in wars and labor
