I think train to busan is the best, in the sense that it's the only one that shows the multiple human natures, as some characters sacrifice themselves for others and others sacrifice everyone for themselves

Honestly, that's part of why World War Z was so disappointing. The book features so many different perspectives on am outbreak as it records the experiences of many different people. You could do so much with zombies, but the movie was so bland compared to the book. And of course, compared to Busan.

@@bryceferguson9762 I think the original has better characters, sharper social commentary, a more effective sense of humor, and more realistic-looking gore. The remake simplifies the proceedings, crams in too many characters who are less dimensional, feels a tad dull at times, and has less memorable social commentary. Also, it has moments that have no purpose other than for shock value, like the zombie baby.

Probably because no ones heard of it? It’s like when people talk about music and it’s always a contest of “who knows the most obscure stuff” because they’re cool. I’m sure it’s a great movie, but it’s probably irrelevant to almost all WM viewers. Is it in English? Is that Italian? I’m sure it’s great but it has to be popular or it’s not going to be listed.

I’m sure it’s a great movie but it’s simply not well known enough to be on this list. If it were 1000 people would be saying “why’s this movie I never heard of here instead of xxxxx” I’m not trying to be rude. I’m just sayings there’s a reason it wasn’t here. I am legend, quarantine, (and it wasn’t on the list but everyone says it a zombie film) 28 days/weeks shouldn’t have been on this list. There’s a difference between a zombie film and an infectious disease outbreak film.

@@mercedesdrake9113 last I check the infection kill the host and reanimates them. If any infection outbreak movie is considered a zombie film then “Contagion” from 2011 is a zombie film.

Neither I am legend nor quarantine should be in a zombie film list as the infected people mutated into something different without dying first. Unlike zombie films where the infected people die first and then reanimate into their zombie state. Big difference between the two.

I appreciate the classics however i believe the 2004 remake of "Dawn of the Dead" has aged better and I believe "R" should of been "Return of the night of the living dead".

@@PatriaPrimum not to disagree, however when it comes to the horror genre there are plenty of classics that have aged better than remakes. For example 1982's The Thing, 1979's Alien and plenty more. The point being is relatabolity through time and culture. Hence why I believe my original comment.

Almost perfect. R should have been return of the living dead in my opinion. Re animator is a classic so I get it. I am a horror nerd. Must say it was a damn good list.

B should be Peter Jackson's best film, from before he started all those long drawn-out costume thingies, namely Braindead. :)
