Yeah I love how the base gets deeper at the start of the song to give off more “serious” vibes. Really adds to the song’s atmosphere.

Mine: Noise EP(him as Kin Kane): Do It (Gives me the Pharrell 2000s sounds-great party song) House of Balloons: The Knowing (The song has a three act structure in itself- it feels so complete. The lyrics as well cuts really as how to accept your partner's wrong doings. Which it it ties in on how The Weeknd within the trilogy would treat Valerie. It just feels that he is playing victim and he pities himself, even if he is unaware of his wrongdoings as well. ) Thursday: The Birds Pt. 2 (Tying in absolutely with the story of Trilogy- I just realized that in the beginning Valerie is the woman crying and she fxxcking killed herself. The lyrics as well acting like the warning. The disturbing ending showing that The Weeknd is not just any bird but a crow. Absolutely wonderful- also the sample, Sandpaper Kisses- so great) Echoes of Silence: Montreal (The sample in itself, says it all... It is The Weeknd pleading to let go of the girls. And also the missed opportunities for the relationships) Honorable Mention as well: Echoes of Silence (probably his saddest song) Additional (Entirity of Trilogy) : The Knowing Kiss Land: Pretty (The soundscapes feel so cinematic- and also from how The Weeknd's knowing that his partner is cheating on him, and just accepting it- but also with a threat is great. The interlude alone in this song feels absolutely haunting) Beauty Behind The Madness: In The Night (A story about a stripper with how she accepted her life. The beat as well feels like it is to show of what's to come in the future for The Weeknd's songs) Starboy: A Lonely Night (A groovy song, that talks about him requesting a woman to get an abortion. WTF. Nonetheless, great song) My Dear Melancholy: Privilege (The acceptance song- it also came to when I needed it the most, so I have much sentimental value with it, also it ties in really great with the opening of After Hours. It feels also like a more modern Echoes of Silence. ) After Hours: After Hours (His best song imo, it has the Three Act Structure, a story I feel like I can relate on, the plucking sound motif kinda reminds me of what's in The Birds Pt. 2 as like a ticking clock reminiscent of a symbolism of longing, or how loneliness will affect him in future songs, and the fxxking ending OMG) Dawn FM: Out of Time (I'm a sucker for Japanese City Pop especially Midnight Pretenders- nonetheless, it really suits the vibe of the radio broadcast style and the on going theme of like living in memory lane- but only for a limited amount of time. (Additional) The Idol OST: One of the Girls (Mike Dean's production is absolutely great in this movie's soundtrack in general- such a toxic song though and it felt like substance wise, we came back to Trilogy. )

Wanderlust is also pretty good but the title track of Kiss land just always hits. BBTM is a perfect mix of the eerie tones in Kiss land and Trilogy and the upbeat vocals in the coming albums like Starboy and Dawn FM. Earned It and In the night always slap as well as the hills. A Lonely night from Starboy is one of my favourite songs by Abel once he started making more upbeat music as well as Stargirl Interlude. The bridge in I was never there is just heavenly and you can feel Abel's voice intensifying as the bridge peaks and its just heavenly. Title track of After Hours is amazing and you can sense the pain in Abel's voice and this song reminds me a lot of Earned It from BBTM. Dawn FM was a good album and very different from Abel's style of music at the beginning of his career. Is there someone else and out of time are also good but otherwise there weren't many songs from Dawn FM that really stuck out to me. King of the fall isin't in any album but seriously underrated as well as Lust for Life with Lana.
