To take out a piglin brute: Ask its parents for permission Set a time to pick them up Take them somewhere nice (mcDs, the bell, etc) Have them home at a resonable time Using this method, you should be able to take the brutes out anytime.

Here are my ideas: 1) Build up on a 3-tall pillar. They can’t hit you and you can hit them. Be careful about piglins with crossbows. Alternatively, build a 3-tall pillar and stand on top. Mine the middle block and replace it with lava, and it will flow out in all directions to kill brutes with maximal efficiency. 2) Make sure you have a block between you and the bed to take no damage if you are using that method. 3) Murder hole. Hide yourself in the floor and dig a little tunnel to see the surface. They will come into the tunnel to get closer to you, and then you can swing. 4) If you really don’t care about preservation, build a tnt duper on top of the bastion and let er rip. Though I feel that would be counterproductive to what you came to the bastion for.

I think the best way to handle them is by putting a boat in front of them when they charged into you. Shield might not be a best option because shield somehow can be disabled by axes...

Using an Invisibility potion allows you to move around without being attacked, and you can open chests without making the Piglins angry, but mining will still make them angry.

Potion of invisibility + lava bucket, as long as you don’t wear any armor the brutes & piglins won’t notice you, this means that you can also safely loot every chest without a worry, and if you take out the brutes with the lava, they won’t even notice your there

You can dig 1x1 pokeholes into the bastion from the outside and hit a piglin inside to agro all of the surrounding piglins and piglin brutes and get them to run to your trap. If you do this multiple times around the bastion, most of the piglins will be cleared out, and you will be able to raid it mostly unimpeded. Just make sure to box yourself in so piglins don't surprise you from behind.

You also can get them in the overworld, because then they transform in to a zombiefied piglin with a axe. When they are zombiefied they don’t have so much health anymore.

Just like the zombie piglin farm from your survival let's play, you could create a trap hole in the ground with trapdoors open at the top. Then, you can simply lure them to the holes, jump over, and then close it off once you've gotten them all. You could even blow up the lot of them if you preface this all by putting a bed at the bottom of the hole.

A (very expensive) method: Call in some backup. More specifically, a golem. Piglin Brutes are tough, but they're no match for an iron golem. The iron golem has twice as much health as the brutes so they'll last longer and can act as a tank by aggroing the brutes onto themselves (and if you have a bunch of spare iron you can heal them with ingots to keep them going). Or perhaps you could use snow golems to keep them distracted by boxxing the snow golem in and they can draw the aggro of the brutes long enough for you to get in, get the loot, and get out. An (infinitely worse) idea is sending in a wither. It'll probably be very effective at killing all the piglins, with the drawback being...well...now you have a wither to deal with, which is a lot worse than a few Brutes. Or if you've got way too much time and redstone on your hands, you can make a redstone machine to kill them all (maybe setting up redstone traps like a tripwire that'll send the piggies falling to their deaths in a pit of lava, or even have it be the start if some kind of Piglin grinder).

What if you just spleefed them off with trapdoors on a 1 block bridge. Like lure them all towards the bridge and open the trapdoor(s)

I've been waiting for this. RaysWorks recommended trapping them in boats. It's all about the blocks you have around you, I imagine. Pretty difficult in a bastion. Was hoping you'd give it a real world test. Counting on you as always!

They also have more heart and damage than the normal piglin

i thought bastions where really dangerous bc i have seen a lot dying from it but with these methods (lava bucket strat) i didnt even aggravate a single piglin while killing them with this strat . only bad thing is that u have to get close to piglin brute to put the lava down and sometimes you can burn your self while doing this but if you have fire protection its fine . very helpful tutorial and it made looting bastions ez . thx wattles

Good list!! I actually had the idea of using lava buckets too! I was thinking you can just build up a little bit, than pour it on them. Glad you mentioned it in the video :). The unfortunate part is that if you want the loot, gilded blackstone under a lot of the chests will still be a problem and anger the piglins anyway, but I guess that's okay. You can always just take them all out with a good sword or bow like you said, but the lava bucket is definitely the best stealth method in my opinion.

Yea Mending Bows are good for Tipped Arrows.

Trap and encase. They’re one time spawns after all from my understanding. Trap them with a boat, encase them in blocks, voila! No gold axes and a possible addition to your special mob collection. 😁

I'll probably use the lava method with invisibility potions. Also always remember to bring a respawn anchor. In bastions or forts I usually make a small safe house with an anchor and some backup gear in case I need to retrieve my items.

The best way to use the lava bucket is to build up about 2 or 3 blocks so the brutes can't reach you and you can place the lava bucket at the bottom of pillar you just made

Tower up, get piglins underneath and drop TNT? Dunno if it’d work in reality, but it’s an idea

As pointed out by ray works, boats work for trapping them in place so you never have to deal with any aggressive regular piglins that would come from normal confrontation. My own personal idea is to make a trap door pit/bridge and lead them to fall where you can then carefully decide your method of choice in a safer/controlled environment

In my opinion, the best way to deal with piglin brutes is to tower up 3 - 4 blocks high, and kill them with your sword or throw a anvil on their heads

Honestly there's no reason to wear gold in the nether again, because if you attack them all Piglins attack.

One of the things I do to save myself from most hostiles in the nether are 2 things, either a bow or a boat. Endermen killed me twice in hardcore, learned to trap them with boats. As well as piglin brutes but I never died to a brute. Ghasts, I died like 3 times, always have a bow, you can get string easily by trading with piglins.

How 'bout invisibility potions. Or maybe run through the entire bastion and let the brutes follow you then take em out with trapdoor trick or stick 'em in boats

on the bastion type with the rows of lava and the bridge, the main bastion itself has tons of loot but if you go to the bridge and go to the second section piglin brutes are everywhere and you can knock them down and into the lava rows using a shield.

They can hear your footsteps if you get close but if you go invisible and sneak and hold nothing in your hands, this range should be only about 2-3 blocks.

You could tower up, aggro with a bow shot, then attack with splash harming potions from above?

I've used the lava buckets and its rlly helpful

A good way of taking care of brutes if you have an iron farm are golems. They will attack all piglins while u steal the loot

Haven’t brewed in a while, but perhaps splash potion of slow falling and slowness might be a good tactic for people without OP weapons

I'm curious if activating the tnt with a button would trigger the piglins? In speedruns you use a button to prevent being "held responsible" for blowing up the houses (in 1.14) so perhaps that would work in this situation too.

An experienced player would figure out how take out brutes when testing before the actual fight, and it will always be lava bucket as an answer. Coupled up with fire resistance, lava bucket has proved to an effective and safe method of dealing brutes. I cannot bring myself to fight brutes with a sword, but always with bow/crossbow, but that usually don't work all the time due to the structure of the bastion, they could spot you as soon as you spot them behind the corner. But this is the first time i actually carry a lava bucket just to deal with the brutes, i didn't need lava buckets on vindicator because the mansion is an open area, and could also burn the mansion. And then the dev intentionally force you into fighting the piglins in the bastion with gilded blackstone at the bottom of chest, and piglin brutes. So i don't think gold boots is useful here. Well, it's already an instinct to use lava bucket on brutes.

"Don't just say sword be clever" Me: trident

A common way to get rid of piglin brutes is to use their Argo to have them run into a hole so you can get a chest. Piglin brutes always spawn by chests so be careful when looting a chest. Also never wear gold boots if you have prot netherite. The brutes will do almost quadrupled damage to you. If you want to kill one with a sword, then abuse their short reach by towering up so you can hit them and they can’t hit you. Also a crossbow with piercing can be a huge help for taking out piglin swarms.

A good way to take the Brutes out with out angering the piglins is to hide in a spot on high ground and place lava through a hole. They will be fried up and dead in no time

You can use TNT and not aggro the other piglins. Rather than using a flint & steel, use a button on a block directly touching the TNT. The game doesn't track aggro if you use that.

I just charge in with a sword and shield and take my anger out :> especially if you have Unbreaking on your shield

You could dig out a big hole, put in trapdoors, and hit one to herd them in. Like Wattle's starter pigman farm, but bigger!

I saw another method, might have been one of your videos, or I think it was on Reddit. You carry boats around with you (which will keep your inventory pretty full depending on how prepared you wanna be with the boats), and then when they charge at you, put down the boat and they'll get in it

I would massively suggest wearing a gold helmet and no other type of gold armor as it has the least armor loss. (Only 4%!) while boots have a huge 8% loss. Use helmet.

I don't ever wear gold armour in the nether, not even in bastion. Becoz I'm alwaYS in full prot 4 nether it's armour and have a high chance of dYing.

If you want a ranged version of the beds, you could use end crystals and a bow

I either tower up 2 blocks or block myself in a tiny box and break one side out and kill them through that. You can also box yourself up with the chests to open them without aggroing the piglins

I just went in with a wooden sword, shield and full gold armour.(Nether survival world)

Build a 2x1 pillar under your feet, look at the brutes come at you, kill them

You can also use a boat to make them sit down and then finish em with the good ol’ lava bucket!
