Curious. Never liked celery as a kid . I can thank BWW for the carrot and celery boats that used to come free with chicken wings Good respite between especially hot wings (to me anyway), But as for the way, I've stored celery at home from the store was cut off the brown and yellow bits put in a Tupperware container with water shake it a bit, drain most of the water and reseal the container. Then, every couple of days, I'd repeat that. They used to last almost 2 weeks.

I have been wanting to use Celery in my soups and assumed my method of storage was to blame for my quickly wilted stalks :D This should help my future Celery endeavors, YaY! How long Per Stage of storage does the Celery last? Your pinned comment says 'Weeks' which sounds fantastic but do you have specific timeframes? example, up to 4 weeks in Aluminum foil, Loose stalks 2 weeks with Paper towel, Limp up to 1 week? Either way thank you so much for this video!!

For me, the celery lasts for 3-4 weeks in aluminum foil. Loose stalks are good for a couple days and if its limp and revived in water, it's usually good for another 3-5 days.

There is a reason there is a shiny and dull side to foil. ALWAYS put the dull side toward your food. This keeps any chemicals in the foil from touching your foods.

No that is wrong. The difference is because of how it comes off the roll when being made. When in contact with something like the roller it is dull. When not in contact with anything it is shiny. Please look it up. Reynolds explains it. I never knew anything about the difference of foil. Someone asked me one time and I had no idea. So I thought it was something old timers knew. Then I saw a chef say(chef, Jean Pierre) there is no difference. It is how it is made. So I looked it up and yes it is how it is made. And besides I never heard it had to do with chemicals release, I heard it had to do with something about how the heat was reflected or held in. But NO there is not a reason for dull or shiny side of foil except how it is made.
