I freeze celery in order to save prep-time when cooking a meal. The frozen, already-cut vegetable is very convenient to have on hand!

Thank you for the compliment. If you do make a stock from vegetable's don't use potatoes. Usually celery, carrots, leeks and onions. You could add herbs of your choice. Any bones from fish, chicken, beef etc add those to the stock pot. You're making what most people would throw out a really tasty stock which makes success, soups, gravy and more. If you don't use it all pour any into an ice tray and freeze until you need it. Saves money buying stock cubes full of salt too. Bon appetite!

I freeze both celery and onions. It’s just a great time saver, and eliminates the messy part of making soup or stews. Rather than compost the leaves and stems pierces that are not perfect, I wash then freeze them separately to throw in the pot with making bone broth. They still have all that great flavor. I don’t blanch and it’s works just fine.

I love it anyway but your freezing technique will be good because sometimes I want to make a stew but don't have celery to hand. This way I will. Thank you again!
Brilliant! As I commented ion another video, I will use this method in the future. I never knew you could freeze celery. Even at 72, I learn something new every day!
Oh yes, I always wondered how and if it could be done. Thanks
Excellent, thank you so much❣️
I use my 2 part pasta pot… after boiling just lift inner strainer and set in a big bowl of ice water and then lift again to drain and ready for freezing on trays.
3/23/2024 This video came across my feed & it was not only HELPFUL but VERY INFORMATIVE & EXCELLENTLY DONE. THANKS FOR SHARING.
Thank you! Solves what to do with the surplus celery after using a stalk or two. Very convenient frozen this way.
Very helpful! Ty!
Wonderful video. I will now buy celery and freeze as I never use a lot and would go to waste. Thank you 👍
What a wealth of information! Would definitely freeze celery. It can go bad easily just sitting in the frig waiting to use the next few pieces. Great idea.
Kevin, this video was VERY helpful to me. I had no idea that you could freeze celery. This is a great way to save your celery. I can’t tell you how many times I have thrown away celery after using a few stalks. I just can’t seem to use it up fast enough. Thank you.
I have never known how to do this! I am definitely going to now!!
I’ve never subscribed to a you tube channel but I loved this video and ht how fun it would be to watch you in the kitchen. Then you spoke of having a cooking channel and I’m hooked!
Very helpful; thank you
This video was really very useful indeed. It’s true, most of the recipes I’ve been looking at require only one or two stalks. And buying a whole bunch of celery just seemed wasteful. Now I know how to freeze and store celery for use in smaller portions as needed. Thanks a lot.
Thank you for sharing this tip on freezing celery. I often wondered. 😊🇵🇭
Great! I don’t like to waste food and this really helps! Thanks 🙏
Thanks for sharing!!!
thanks for the video! grew celery for the first time and was wondering how to preserve it.
Thank you so much for posting this, I usually discover celery i didn't use has become wilted and toss it, now i know how to freeze it!
This was so helpful because i always through away a bunch of celeri that was only used for one dish . Thank you ,Kevin.
