    Is the F# with double trill key really standard? I feel like I have only used it in very select trills, which makes sense given the names of the trill keys. Flipping to the index finger F# has always been what I've seen used, and it aligns with what saxophones/recorders do.

    Yes it is absolutely the standard chromatic fingering as described in the video. No reason for it to align with recorder or saxophone because they’re completely different…but side C would be a comparable fingering if you wanted to go down that rabbit hole.
