Are cheap reeds playable?
For less than $10 a box Yinama, Slade, Cecilio and Glory clarinet reeds all SEEM like a great deal. I get what I paid for in this review.

Nice video! As an oboist, I always waa envy for clarinet players who can just go on Amazon and buy themselves all kinds of reeds...

Thank you! The trade-off is that making your own reeds ensures they are of consistent quality!
I have found that in a typical box of Vandoren reeds only about half are actually playable. I tend to now buy Gonzales reeds because they don’t use all that plastic.
