    Love the technical videos.. learning the way water flows over objects is so crucial.. that front section of the console was a super technical dip and you made it look easy.. i find myself sometimes doing a dry run with complicated objects to find the best flow...i like your videos because it's all real time, I could see you thinking it through before the commitment and then just going for it..would love to see a technical video of your rinsing process both in the machine and by hand from dip to rinse... I've been dipping for several years and still question my rinsing process at times...

    As long as it is fully dried and you have done any needed touch ups then you are ready to clear

    Pretty cool. Do you have to have a big ol fancy dip tank? Or can I set something up in my garage?

    Technically you can use anything that will hold water to dip in but its the skill and technique that will be needed to do this correctly.

    Great video! I'm trying to dip my rims and just to be clear when using carbon the piece being dipped needs to be painted before and a clear protective coat after?

  • @LiquidConceptsUSA

    @LiquidConceptsUSA

    Yes that is correct. You need to base coat the part, dip it and then clear coat it for the protection.

    @@Pens4Life85 It lets the film stick to it better, like paint. Also, parts of the film are clear, so what's under the film shows through as a color. That's why he painted the console parts that charcoal gray, and that's what made the result look real. If he had painted it pink, then it would have looked like pink carbon fiber. If you have a grungy, bare wheel under it, then that is going to show through and look ugly. I kind of think of it like spraying Candy paint - you need to have a nice basecoat as it will show through the Candy and affect how it's going to look.

    I’ve never seen this process, very kool. I’m confused where the excess material goes? Does it just fall off when you shake it in the liquid?
