top right of the map there's a battle arena and you can battle waves of spiders for xp, just change the difficulty to story mode

@@zerevv The person you're selling them to also sells you items that you get from feeding and petting the beasts, so for all we know they are doing the same thing.

Tell me abt it, I am overflowing with plants and potions that I cant tell! Forced me to "rescue" animals for $$$.

After catching I first go to the room of requirement and brush feed them for instant upgrade materials. Then pick them up in your inventory and sell them at Hogsmeade.

Best Tip: change difficulty to story mode for instant nabsack captures! It gives the same XP and it saves time!

It may be poaching but according to Deek, the shopkeeper actually works to home these beasts with safe and loving families. Hopefully that’s better than what actual wizard poachers do to them lol.

Using the disillusionment spell “hiding” with the accio “retrieve “ spell with the nab-sac in a spell set worked really well for me.

I was level 27 before I unlocked the nab sack and was lvl 22 when I unlocked talent points .. It Soooooo eazy to get side tracked by exploring

with the Mooncalfs there's also a tree nearby (the one you see as you look down to the castle) were a few Jobberknolls also spawn so you can catch them as well before you go to the area with the Puffskeins gives you some additional beasts to catch and sell

Just want to add that the mooncalf nest is better. With the pufferskein I wasn't able to make them respawn reliably, but with Mooncalf I just do Levioso or Glacio on them and capture them. There's about 8-10 per night and they respawn 100% reliably

Rotate between the west manor cap puffskein den and the one around hogsmeade, they spawn very reliably, and you can get more. Plus there easier to farm. (the den near hogsmeid gets 11-13 and the other gets 4-6)

I accidentally made a ton of money and gave myself an advantage in fights too. When I started I did loads of exploring and smaller quests, and fighting minor baddies, mainly thinking it was good practice for later, but mostly I couldn't decide what order I should be doing things in to advance the main story. I was up to about level 14 before I even started the main quest. So out gunned most of the baddies I came across in the early stages of that. Also have loads of money for seeds and potions. So I wouldn't worry about making loads-a-money, just don't rush into the big fights. As far as I can see there isn't really a time line in Hogwarts, you can take as long as you like to get around the tasks. At one point, when I went for a day trip to the south coast seaside, I came across the fight arena and entered it not realising I couldn't get out until I killed loads of things. I had so many spells and clothes upgrades they couldn't really hurt me much, I came out of that with a huge XP upgrade. (I wont be going in again though, it gets hectic in there).

@@louisn1368 A lot of the chests have 500 (coins or what ever they are) so I did loads of those early. Also selling clothes mounts up quite quickly. The creatures you capture, you can get a lot more than you need for the vivarium, so sell the excess animals.

@@louisn1368you’ve probably already figured this out, but yes you do acquire the nab sack in a main story mission. I also tend to level up myself and gather as much money/materials as I can before diving into the main quests full force. What you should do is focus on completing the assignments the professors give you so that you can unlock more of the spells, then complete enough main missions to get you to the room of requirement and vivarium. By that point you’ll be leveled up and able to take on most enemies more easily, so that’s probably the ideal time to really start exploring. I love exploring, but I really love it when I’m in good shape and can take on any enemy or complete any sort of puzzle that may require a certain spell that you get in the main story so that I’m able to do anything and everything I want to do without being underpowered.

It’s easiest just to cycle through back to night while you’re at the mooncalf den, and just keep getting mooncalves until your inventory is full. Also, getting sprint while disillusioned helps get close to them more quickly

You dont have to travel to other spots. You can just stay at the mooncalf spot, collect all 8 on story difficultly, then wait for morning, then wait for night again in the map. They respawn each time.

Just travel back and forth between puffskin dens. They're easier to catch than mooncalves and they actually respawn as soon as you travel away from the area.

Most villains don't look at their actions as 'evil' either. I'm sure the poachers also feel like they're in the 'pet trade' if it makes them feel better. But the fact remains, we originally work to stop poachers from removing animals from the wild, and then become exactly like them. I'm sure many of them also sell their animals for profit, to help fund their nefarious activities. So no matter how you look at it, it is STILL poaching; you're taking animals from the wild to make a profit.

At some point you don't need money anymore. You can grow and craft everything yourself. During the early hours it is really valuable, though, in order to buy those conjuration spellcrafts for the room of requirement.

Just enjoying the power of the starting spells much as confringo and glacius and now it's time to tame beasts.. lol i thought they only let us to be a Dark Wizard.. but they let us be poachers as well.. they really let us be the baddest son of a Merlin in this game.. really love it.. still 18 hours of playing.. it came out in early 2023... where me as a Fitness coach having the busiest time of my life.. still making time for the game cause it's worth it. I have to say i enjoy this more than God of War Ragnarok. I finished GOW, but i'm pretty sure even if i finished Hogwarts Legacy, imma keep playing.

U can put the game on story mode to get ride of the button prompts and I would also say arresto momentum is more useful for capturing than Levioso

still new to the game n love to get out of my way to explore n grind stead on focusing on the story

I believe by going back to the room of requirement you can negate having to wait 24 hours for the spawns to reset.

There’s a castle in the forbidden forest that has loading screen, I just go in there and go back for unicorns and mooncalf

How will this effect season gated quests?

I mean it’s not bad for farming but if you to make even more money fast try finding all the eye chest locations which give you each 500 I just looked up online for the locations plus you can do it very early on in the game

For a game that tries to dissuade you from poaching , they don’t really offer any other options to realistically make money

Um, under Ministry law, its evident Ellie is licensed or else she would have already been caught. Thus we are not poachers as we are employed by her and making us under Ministry authority. Not to mention its protecting the creatures as we ensure they are kept safe by somebody rather than the poachers who clearly abuse and kill them, Ellie doesn’t. Plus you have the fact that leaving them in their natural habitat would be worse as they are under constant danger from the actual poachers, and the Ministry has laws in place to capture creatures when they or wizard-kind lives are in danger.

That's exactly what I have been doing. I just like to rotate around all the beast spots until my nab sack is full and then go to sell them.

crazy bc im level 16 (100 attack and def) and ive only just received the fire spell (still havent been to restricted section). I went up just exploring the castle, hogsmeade and areas around them. Looks like Im a good ways off from this but cant wait. Love how there is so much to do!

@@mibusuzaku I looked up main quests im on 31.. Based on the one persons comment it starts at high keeper which is 39. But you get shadow of the mountains right after 31 so it might be 32 till 39.... Which is alot. And like 97% done the game. There's like 4 main quests. So im still confused.. But we will find out when I finish this quest. Which will be tonight as I'm not on.

Definitely not far enough into the game for this yet but thank you for the tips! (Don't know how I feel about the poaching aspect lol)

U can just hunt eye chests, 500 per one, u could get 6500 in hogsmeade for the start it's nice. But i went just exploring the world doing demiguieses and got 16k without noticing

I find the puffballs easiest cause there's a huge den of them right outside hogsmeade and they only take one button press to catch. I just farm that and the ones in the forbidden forest

Thanks all I been doing is selling my gear I don't use to make money even though I would still like to keep them. How do you unlock the elf, the nab - sack and the loom quest. Do you have to continue through the main story more or should you decorate, upgrade on your secret room more. I don't want to progress so far into the main without having the different potions and spells but I know for some you must progress into the main story

Problem is by the time you get to the Nab Sack Quest... you really don't need that much money... some brooms are expensive but most of the spellcraft stuff n all ingredients are bought... unless there's a way to get to all of the Deek stuff faster

though I just passed Level 16, I can't get Deek to mention the "Bavarium" (or however it's spelled.) All I get is the dialog about changing the room's ambiance. Any help appreciated.

Capture 1 or 2 hyppogifs instead, feed and brush them, everytime you do that you get 3 feathers, each feather can be sold for 700 each

No, you do it by doing the assignment for class to learn new spells and learn the potions, Herbology, and then you go to Magical creatures as you progress in the story

I find using glacio also helps on beasts
