I hope they continue to do premium collaborations with this lock theyve turned out great!

The button is a tad short. Like if they had added a millimeter to it, it would be pure perfection. Despite that I love my Psyop. I managed to get the black blade and textured black scales. Exactly the one I wanted. The gold just pops so well. I don’t even usually like gold as a color. Fun to fidget, strong lock, excellent fit and finish, wonderful steel with good geometry and an even better heat treatment, all around a great tool im excited to run through its paces.

Agreed. Failed to fully disengage a few times on me due to just not pressing the button hard enough. But so has my RSKaos and Hedgehog. Pros and cons to every lock system. Still love it. Contoured handle feels great. I do wish they did the milled texturing on the contoured handle. Sharp AF! I still want a black and gold textured version, but I’ll wait till they are restocked and eventually go on sale.

I'm not having too much issue with it..that said compression locks have a tendency to travel over time..its happened on my hedgehog, pm2 and para 3 so that button will stick out further the more you use it

I have all four of their TPL knives, and the button on the Psyop is definitely the shortest one of the group. I hope someone comes up with a longer button, because it's just screwed into the liner lock so it would be an easy swap. I may try swapping it with the RSKaos seeing as it has a longer button and the scale is cutout around it.

Got the exact same version as yours in the mail Thursday. This thing is sick. Imo vosteed has taken the smock and ran with it. Idk why spyderco hasn't done another knife like their smock🤔

Absolutely agree... but kudos to vosteed for giving the people what they want!

Not a lanyard dude myself. However, for folders that I cannot get a full 4 finger grip, I like to put a "fob" on the end for the pinky grip. The fob is right about 1 inch, and will not interfere with the blade opening and closing. Some examples of this are the Ganzo Firebird, and Civivi Odium (little brother to the WE Mini Malice/Ferrum Forge Mini Archbishop). I had to perfect a quick detachment fob for the Odium as it does not have a lanyard hole in its construction. Absolutely, the quality that vosteed is putting out this year is staggering and the big guys aren't going to know what to do when this momentum really gets going

The rskaos sold out the same way. couple months later came back in stock in and hasn't been out of stock since. Just wait. Don't buy from scalpers. saw a video of Someone batoning with the rskaos and it permanently shifted over the lock bar ruining the knife. I wonder if there changes with a double liner fix that.

I saw that video too, personally I'm not too worried since I don't regularly baton with my folders and if I did I'd probably go for something with an atlas lock and never look back. But I do think that switching to a full liner instead of just the lockbar inset into the scale could help with rigidity and strength

I bought mine before any reviews came out. I'm on the Vosteed email list and got an email right when they dropped. Let me tell you, Rolls I didn't hesitate on ordering. Haven't heard your nitpick yet but, mine is the button needs to set out just a bit more. I'm actthinking about cutting me a shim and installing it to make the button stick out a bit more

Same here. I took mine apart already (careful - lots of loctite - especially on the lower handle screws..at least on mine- ie better heat it up before stripping the screw heads). You’d have to make a teenytiny shim or find an itsybisty washer. It’s screwed into the lock bar with a very small screw. Not even sure if the screw would be long enough to accommodate a 1mm shim/washer.

I wouldn't force that lockbar over..compression locks always gain a bit of travel after extended use and the button will pop out more and more over time with use no matter what..its happened on my Kaos, hedgehog and smock

I don't want to be a wet blanket -- I ordered a Psyop myself -- but Vosteed doesn't list the hrc as 60-62. They actually list it as 60 +/-2, meaning that it's 58-62, which is a ridiculously large range. Knowing Vosteed, it will likely come in between 60 and 61. Would be interesting to see someone test it.

Rollshambo is a psyop of Big Chocolate with his anti-raisin propaganda. I wonder if Elmax will become the "flagship" steel for Vosteed i.e. their go-to premium steel. That'd be the first company I've seen do it that way since ZT sorta tried for a hot second.

Hideous pocket clip screws? 🤔 That’s a stretch man there’s two fat screws right next to the clip. I’d say those are hideous because they’re too close together. If you wanna make hidden screws a selling point do them all that way.

Difference of opinion I guess, I think the lanyard hole going through the diamond milling is more of an affront than a few body screws but different strokes for different folks..thanks for watching🙌

A lot to like there would agree about the lanyard hole not a huge fan of the two screws by the clip either but not a bug deal either way, my real problem with it is Im a Lefty so no way i’m gonna buy it didn’t buy the RSKaos oh well
