THE BEST VIEWS IN SANTIAGO CHILE! Santa Lucia, San Cristobal & The Costanera Centre

THE BEST VIEWS IN SANTIAGO CHILE! Santa Lucia, San Cristobal & The Costanera Centre
In this video we head straight out of our centrally located apartment over to Cerro Santa Lucia hill in Santiago Chile to get one of the best views from within the city of Santiago, it’s a lovely walk up through greenery with views the whole way round.
We even managed to stumble upon a great vegan/veggie food place without even having to look it up!
The next viewpoint we head to in this video is the Cerro San Cristobal which is one of the best views overlooking the city which gives a completely different perspective to that of Cerro Santa Lucia, we loved both viewpoints despite the haziness of Santiago which is pretty common (so we’re told!)
The next day we took the metro over to the Costanera centre and were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to navigate our way around the city’s metro system. This building is a classic modern skyscraper and completely different to the previous two viewpoints, the building his attached to a huge shopping mall and is the tallest building in the continent of South America.
We finish our time in Santiago off at Patio Bella Vista which is a really cool area full of bars and restaurants in the city. We found some great food but were pretty tired out (as you can probably tell in this video) so we opted for soft drinks and an early night to pack our bags and get to the coast!

A British couple from just outside London, England. We got married in 2018 and decided instead of a honeymoon we’d travel the world together. We saved money and travel points, quit our jobs, rented our house out and boarded a one way flight in 2020. We started this KZread channel to share our experiences with friends, family and anyone who plans to travel to the places we’re visiting. We leave TKT tips/facts in our vlogs and blogs to give information that we wish we’d had before visiting. We hope you find our content fun & useful :)

Back! Yeah, I could live waking up to those vistas. All of them. Nice hotel locale. Those spots you’re climbing are like if nature built skyscrapers in Central Park. Every time I think of Santiago, I think of the “Battle of Santiago” and the vid of David Coleman calling Italy-Chile in WC ‘62 the most stupid match in footie history. “We’re the hazy metropolis.” - LA “Hold my 🍺.” - Santiago Yet it looks sooo intriguing! The night view with the haze…wow! (A bit Rocky of a ride, there.) I wonder if there is a limit to skyscraper height due to earthquakes. It’s that way in LA. Whoa. Incredible views! Bonus: Right after brownies! Oh, not Camden, NJ when you say Camden. We’ll take you there. Right across the river from Philly.

Great to hear from you! It was the haziest city we have ever visited but it was pretty interesting watching the sky and haze at different heights, ready to get ourselves some fresh air now though! Camden NJ sounds fun to visit! 🤩

I really enjoyed exploring the city with you both. Your accomodation seemed to be in a great location. Even though it was hazy, it was really cool to see the city view with the mountains in the background. I haven't been in many cable cars, but the one you were in would sure make me nervous 😳😆 How nice to kind of stumble upon a restaurant with great options for the both of you. That vegan pad thai looked great at the end!

Santa Lucia Hill is formed by intrusives rocks , not for extrusives rocks like lava. Those rocks represent the roots of an eroded ancient volcano , active in the miocene period ( many millions of years before). You didn´t climbed to the top of a volcano, but in their roots.
