The Best Vegan Mozzarella Cheese for Pizza... 6 Brand Taste Test
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Special thanks to my taste tester Dominique (IG: @cinema.sewist) for her help in this video!
Vegan cheese might be the final frontier in the world of vegan food, as it's one of the most difficult things to get right. In this taste test, I made six vegan pizzas using six different vegan cheeses and tasted them along with my friend Dominique to find out which one melts, browns, and tastes the best.

Super helpful!! Thanks :)
The top three are my favorites as well. I seem to purchase them over other brands. I recently made a vegan lasagna with the Miyokos liquid cheese and it was sooooo good!

Came here to see if you agreed with me that Follow Your Heart is really good. I am gonna give the Mykonos a try this week.
Moocho Dairy-Free Mozzarella Style Shreds is an excellent one to try! Actually the Cheddar and Fiesta Style Shreds are wonderful, too!
I really like Miyoko's liquid and am glad to have found it because I avoid saturated fats, which tend to be super high in most vegan cheeses. I miss 🧀 sometimes, so having a healthier alternative is nice.
Seasoning vegan cheese before cooking makes a HUGE difference as well in taste. At least it does with Violife and Follow Your Heart
I cannot have dairy products due to being lactose intolerant. I have tried a lot of different brands of these cheese substitutes. As long as they are using coconut oil in the ingredients I cannot eat them. The coconut oil causes them to taste like crayons or birthday candles to me. I wished the manufacturers would try using a different oil.

The Miyoko's liquid (the one we liked the best) doesn't have coconut oil! Have you tried it yet?

@@StephSunshine no I haven't. I have not seen it in my area. We are very limited as to what is available in our area.

Ah, okay. I'm not sure where you are, if you have Target they used to carry it. I live outside the US now and also can't buy these anymore, but I've had success making similar cheeses on my own. You can try this recipe and use sunflower oil instead of coconut: www.stephsunshine.com/vegan-life/vegan-mozzarella-cheese-cashew/#recipe You could also skip the heating part to turn it solid, and pour it thinly on to the pizza, then it will firm up as the pizza bakes, similar to the liquid mozzarella.

I love vegan cheese and I don’t eat dairy or anything animal products because I’ve been vegan for nearly 1 years I went vegan for health reasons (not ethical reasons like most people)
