I tried so many butter based recipes and could never get the texture right but this recipe literally blows my mind, the cake is so soft and fluffy and takes like the bakery. I made my friends 2 tiered wedding cake with this recipe (and some passionfruit/guava curd) and everyone loved it. It really doesn’t taste oily or cornbread-y, just trust the process!!

I tried this recipe. So simple to follow, it came out perfect!! I’ve followed many recipes before and they never come out how I would like. I added biscoff spread to make it a biscoff cake. With the recipe I was able to make 4, 7 inch cake.

First time I used this recipe was in June, it was my first time properly baking and decorating a cake for a birthday and it was a huge success now fast forward to October and I still absolutely love and use this recipe all the time! It comes out perfect each time. I’ve even used it to make cupcakes and lemon cakes ( all I had to do was use some lemon extract/ lemon zest and juice). I’ll definitely recommend this recipe and video! 💕 I’m still always getting compliments on the cakes and I’m currently in the process of baking one now 🙈😂.

Finally I tried this recipe for my birthday cake order and the results were very satisfying, delicious and soft. Didn't expect that cake batter without butter could be that soft. I can’t wait to try this cake!! I’ve been searching for a good and light vanilla sponge and finally it has arrived! Thank you so much for uploading this❤️ I also just wanted if I could incorporate flavours such as lotus biscoff by melting it and stirring it into the batter? Do you think it will change the consistency of the cake after it has baked?🥰❤️

Hello! So happy to see you looking forward to making this recipe. I personally never tried incorporating flavours like you mentioned but I believe the outcome would be amazing (makes me want to try it myself lol). Just make sure to add baking paper to the bottom because combinations like these tend to stick of the biscoff touches the bottom. Enjoy! ❤️

Tried this on normal hungry times and on birthday cakes and it's excellent I just added like a few extra stuff , this is my favourite recipe

I tried this out today and it turned out SOOOOO GOOOOOD. Thank you so much for this recipe and I was so happy with the results. Even after putting the cake in the freezer for like 3 hours, it was soooo soft and moist. 10/10 recommended ❤️

@@msfarrah2451 no since it was for a few hours but if you want to keep it in the fridge for a day or so then it would be better for you to wrap the cake in plastic wrap.

I made this for my Dad's birthday today and It is delicious! I topped it off with Russian Buttercream. I looked thorough many recipes but yours was exactly what I needed and wanted. Thank you for the recipe! ❤

I think it is smart to prep the pans that will be used before starting the cake mixing instead of after. Baking powder as a leavening reacts as soon as it touches the liquid. You will get better results by doing this step.
