I recommend this monitor. I bought it a month ago, and it works like a charm! I used to use dual 24" monitors, but switching to an ultra wide really payed off. The framerate achieved by this monitor is lovely! :)

Nice video as always ,keep up the good work
A lot of people in the comments are saying it should have G-sync or it should be 1440p. But why? There's already the Asus PG348Q and Acer X34 Predator that boast those exact specs. However they're both $1100. This is clearly a budget-minded offering. G-sync tends to be about a $200 premium over Freesync. In fact, Freesync costs virtually nothing to implement. AMD GPU's are typically cheaper than Nvidia GPU's. And lastly, the 2560x1080 resolution is much less taxing on your GPU and thus takes less power to push. *TL;DR - If you want a G-sync, 3440x1440 ultrawide panel then buy one. But this is not what this product is aiming to be. It's intended to be a cheaper alternative to these expensive displays. So quit your whining.*
People at LG probably the ones naming all the planets out of the solar system

But do you have IPS and ultrawide? Hell no. Your's is probably is a bad TN screen one, because no IPS has 1ms refresh rate except for this and few others that definitely exceeds $300.
Waiting for DP1.4 to upgrade my monitor. Hopefully that will give manufacturers more headroom to work with, and we start seeing more 10-bit panels, Quantum Dots and wider Freesync ranges for high res displays (i want a 3440x1440).
thanks man just bought it
1080p in this size can be quite blurry, just bear that in mind!
@MRFLAPPYTREE
5 жыл бұрын
1080 is the height of the display, the width is where the ultrawide has the extra pixels compared to a 16:9 display. the pixel density is exactly the same as any other 1080p monitor.
@CrashForce
4 жыл бұрын
[CleverUsername] You don’t make any sense. PPI depends on the size of the monitor as well. For example, a 3440x1440p monitor has a much greater pixel density than 2560x1080p monitor even if the monitors are 34 inches in size.
what 1ms? the specs on LG website says 14ms / 5ms GTG since when ips monitors go lower than 4ms

great monitor. 1 year later,and very happy.
Great video, certainly helped me with my choice. A huge upgrade for me. Currently using a 1920x1080p 60hz monitor with 1 ms. But this IPS curved ultrawide will soon be mine. Ofcourse the upgrade from 60 to 144hz will be the biggest improvement. One thing to note on your video, try to change your voice tone a bit more enthousiastic. it would really help your video's.

MarkSKristensen uhm, can you tell what exactly is ms ? I'm really interested on pc gaming
@MarkSKristensen
7 жыл бұрын
Reymar ms stands for milliseconds, it's the amount of milliseconds that it takes for your input to appear on screen, lets say that you press your mouse button, then it'll take that amount of milliseconds for you to see it on the screen, the human brain however can't really tell the difference between 1 or 5ms, so they'll both appear smooth, where as 15ms and it starts being noticeable and annoying, but the lower the better, but it's by far not the most important spec.

The Warranty is awful it doesn't cover break downs
its is not 1ms @ 144hz its 1ms on 120hz .. that option just makes the screen dark as shit ... its 5ms+ on 144hz. Im running it off a 1080 and my plan was to DSR i could get 1080sli for 144+ fps. so far i am not too happy i kinda looks blurry or not so much better than my 60-75hz lg29" , it is smoother when looking around slowly but if u rocked jump around and aim @ yr target everything becomes smudged together. the panel seems to be in order passed the UFO lag test @ 144hz and just by dragging the mouse on the desktop on my 60hz i get ~ 5 pointer after images, on 144hz its atleast double that for the same distance. the resolutions is a real bummer yea. u can see the pixels when u look close up, not a problem for games or movies, but desktop \ text \ adobe stuff is not so hot. LG has a 144hz 38" panel scheduled for 2018, should be nice after dp 1.3 ~ sli 1080s will pull normal shooters... and @ 144fps+ no tearing ... even if the fps is way higher so no vsync/freesync needed (it technically 100% there, but on 144hz panel u cant see it @ all vs 60hz it will tear all the time ...csgo/overwatch 300fps+). For any1 who caught this for 570$ on sale its worth ... not a dollar more.
hey techsource do you have any videos that showing like good gaming monitores with low price?
i just ordered it.. i currently own an Eizo Foris FS2735 and will make my own impression.. i can already tell that i'm probably going to keep the LG because 21:9 kicks ass, regardless of the resolution

Tactify24 4K monitors starting at 300?? Well depends on the brand. Most 4K 27inch monitors I've seen start at around 400. Ultrawide is an exception. Ultrawide dude. Not 16:9. 700?? That's good pricing for me right there.
Read "2560x1080" I am out of here. Not interested. Too low resolution for a screen this size. Thanks for the video anyway (not your fault what LG manufacturs)
Got mine 8 Month ago for ~480€ at Amazon (directly from Amazon), and this is one of the best investments I ever did into my build. The best are Open World games, where the 21:9 can really shine. Also the decenteration from the HUD in games is really great, cause you don't have your center focus so stacked with information, though everything is there.

I can't really respect a 1080p monitor that costs $700, no matter the refresh rate or aspect ratio. 1440p is the new standard, 1080p is for those who can't afford it. Also, very close to this price range is 16:9 1440p 144hz G-SYNC monitors, and I think most people would rather save a little more for those. But that's just me.

I don't think a console can run 1440 except the P4Pro and XB1S so 1080 is for the people that don't really care that much about graphics and/or play on console. I have a P4 and I wouldn't get a 1440 monitor for it cause that's just wasting money imo. For my PC on the other hand, I'd just get a 4k monitor cause if I'm gonna spend I might as well spend on the best but not even for games cause I still wouldn't play a game at 4k tbh
@DoctorX149

4k can't get good framerates, and we weren't talking about consoles, most console gamers opt for a tv.
@G4Master96

Only the filthy casuals use TVs to play games. No but seriously though I play PC and console on the same monitor that's why I brought up the console thing cause some people are in that position like me. I have a 1080 monitor just because I've never worried about graphics that much anyway but if I were getting a P4Pro I'd get the 4k monitor cause movies and shit and I could always build up the PC for 4k but I wouldn't build up for 1440 or 4k cause it's just not for me. Some people just aren't all about the graphics you feel me?
this will be my next monitor
Ed, can you recommend a desk mount solution for this monitor? With it’s curve, size & weight, I’m afraid of standard mounts. Thanks in advance.
it's not 1 ms

Also, G-Sync is actually a chip in the monitor that you pay a premium to nvidia for. Freesync is AMD's version and it's only a bit of software that's FREE to use. Not to mention, better in some ways.
Its not 1ms its 5ms.
mind blowing!
