When you fill a hole with shoe goo, cut a piece of old wool sock or dish towel and while it’s still sticky put it on the inside of the hole so you don’t get a hard lump rubbing on the ball of your foot.

I was just looking up wrestling shoes, and wondering if they would be good for skating. They fit your foot sock-like, have very flexible soles that are grippy, and are pretty tough. The newer wrestling shoes kinda look a bit different than the 90's wrestling shoes; which would ideal, but there are a few newer ones I might try out.

from experience casually rocking double socks/thick socks works for making your new shoes have that broken in feel/give

I loved how the adidas copa nationales felt when I skated them but they ripped so quickly :(

Dan please tell me how you kick flip with so much of your foot on the board ? I almost have to have my tippy toes on which is not ideal at all ...... Please advise

i always use my shoe goo the second before i make the hole go all the way through the shoe, it tends to actually work alot better and it actually forms to the hole and when its drying after about 5 minutes you can reshape it perfectly the way you want it ;P just my tips after 16 years of experience :P

Man, i'm jealous you can still skate after 20 years.. i wrecked my feet after 15 years and it would be dumb to still stand on a skateboard. Its like my feet and legs are only held together by my skin..

The mark suchiu or however you spell his name is good but it rips your socks. The best shoe was the old Mikey Taylor on dc shoes but they don’t make them anymore :(

City cups are so good lasted me 3 months crazy I paid like $40 for them and now can’t get them cheaper anywhere the $60 so sad:(

why not get longer-lasting shoes so you don't need to set up new ones as often? I hear Adidas tear really quickly from a lot of (other) people.

They always last me longer the. Other shoes it just depends on what ones you get. City cup and canvas last forever
