Wow, the homeowner is so brave for showing herself. And normally we just see the cleaning side which is satisfying, but it is clear that Barbie truly cares about the people she helps. I don’t want it to be the norm for these people to show themselves if they don’t feel comfortable, but it does help humanize the dirty homes.

Yes, however I do enjoy your voice. Maybe introduce in beginning and then talk at the end if cleaning, editing and choosing music then speaking is too much. I enjoy hearing you speak more than listening to music. I can play my own music in the background or enjoy the silence. I like to hear how you choose what do first, then next and why. The products you use. Maybe unusual things you find. Lost treasures you found. How you choose who to help and in what order. If there is anything a volunteer could help you with. If we can send encouraging texts, letters or phone calls to people who are willing to receive them. Like assign 1 volunteer to each person. To be an encouraging new friend or a pen pal. A volunteer editor. Donations of cleaners, sponges, masks, shoe covers, mops, brooms, cleaning caddy, vacuum bags, good spray bottles, gloves and other supplies to you and the people you help.

I can’t wait until you have 1 million subscribers.

Praying for this brave and sweet woman. I didn't have to endure all that she did, but when I lost my mom at the end of 2020, I went thru a similar depression. My apartment got super cluttered/messy and I really didn't care what it looked like. I've recently started to come out on the other side of my depression and am cleaning things around the apartment a little at a time. God bless you, Barbie, for all that you do!

Wishing you brighter days ahead. Life is hard. The loss of a loved one is gut wrenching. We all grieve in our own way and time. My company gave me three days bereavement and I literally could not go back on the road for two weeks. I grieved for years too. Hugs.

Barbie, what you do is like magic. You change people's lives! The homeowner was amazing. She came on camera and shared her story and how grateful she was. I hope this makeover of her home gives her the incentive to have a more peaceful and happy life. I want to thank you for your videos. I started watching them last weekend (04/23/2023) and it gave me the motivation to start cleaning and decluttering my house. I am 65 yrs old and I have been needing a little push in the right direction. Your videos are just the push I needed. 😁

Best of luck to this poor lady. I hope her cancer is in remission now, and she can continue to recover in comfort in her clean space. Barbie, you're wonderful.

I've had wax spilled on the wall and it's very easy to remove. If you can get a paper bag, like one from a grocery store or ones you buy to pack lunches in, lay it over the wax, and take a clothes iron on medium heat, and go over the paper slowly, you will see the paper bag soak up the wax like magic. Repeat until all the wax is gone, using a new paper bag as it soaks up all the wax. A hair dryer works also with the paper bag soaking method, but the iron works quicker. The paper bag and iron works on carpet as well, just lower the heat to not melt carpet.

I used the paper bag/iron method to remove wax from a 100% wool hand made braided rug. While I was on the floor, I found the remains of a snow suit I wore when I was about 8yrs old, an old dress coat of both my mum and dad,and a jacket that my oldest sister wore. The rug was made by a friend of my parents, and I watched its progress over my growing up years. It’s approximately 8X10 and still as colorful as it was when she started it, 73 years ago. P.S. It’s never needed a repair. From New Hampshire, Patricia 👵🏻 😉

The story of this sweet lady made me cry I can understand very much I did battled with cancer twice and with depression too. I wish I had someone like you at that time cause I was pretty much alone. She's very lucky to have you. You did an amazing job for this lady and it was so kind of you to buy her new sheets and pillows, you really are an angel my dear Barbie. Dear Barbie thank you for another amazing cleaning job and a very inspirational video. You do a wonderful job of humanizing and having compassion for those in need. Please encourage this lady to call the hospital where she received cancer treatment and speak with the oncology social worker who can refer her to caregiver services, homemaker services, American cancer society volunteers or other agencies in her area who provide assistance to cancer patients. This way she can receive regular visits to provide the care she needs.

Her story mirrors mine, but I guess I'm handling it differently. I keep busy so I don't think about the loss of my partner of 44-years. I'm in good shape for 73, so cleaning and maintaining the yard is still doable. Finances are tight, and I'll have to sell my house eventually, but everyone keeps telling me not to make any big decisions while I'm grieving. My furniture is 30+ years old, but you can't tell by looking, I was raised poor so when I was finally able to purchase furniture, I took very good care of it. I hope this lady recovers from the loss of her husband; it is a huge loss to deal with.

Sell while prices are high. You don't have to pay taxes up to 250 k gain. Better to just get an apartment to make life simple and easy. To maybe house stuff to do and maintain as you get older better spend that time enjoy your life

This lady's story touched my heart and how very brave of her to share it. New sub here from Midwest Magic Clean and this is the first recommended video that came up. I'm 75 and had a hip replacement and then a yr later badly sprained my ankle on the same leg. I have a 2 story house and I have to parse out daily what I do to keep up with all of it. I am a retired nurse and loved caring for ppl. Barbie is an earth angel. God bless you both.

This was a beautiful transformation! You are such a hard worker! And you’re right, when you are cleaning an older home with older furnishings, it just doesn’t look as fresh as things that are new. But if you have taken care of it then I know that it is clean! And I love that you were able to move the bed! The room looks bigger and brighter. Please thank this lovely woman for sharing her story. Barbie, the next time you have melted wax on a wall or floor, put down a few paper towels over the wax and then iron it or use a hair dryer to soften the wax. This will even work on a tablecloth that wax dripped on it.

This poor lady. Things just kept piling up on her. Hopefully now she can start looking forward and things will start getting better for her. I have not lost a spouse but I do know what it means to go through cancer (stage 3 ovarian cancer in 2020). There are so many days where you just don't want to do anything. You are exhausted. You are in so much pain. You can't think straight or remember things. Now I hope her physical and mental health improves.
