The BEST technique to use in Post-production with Render Elements

Learn architectural representation and visualization with our courses: learnupstairs.com/courses
In this video, you'll learn about a handy trick that I use to fix things in a render during post-production. Oftentimes it's quicker to do it in Photoshop than go back to the render engine.
Learning visualization also comes down to learning these small moves. So that you have a handful of skills to work around any challenges.
The project used in this video is from Olmo Arquitetos. You can find more about them on Instagram here:

I really have no experience with image manipulation, but simply hearing what is possible is so helpful. This way I'll know what to learn, when I need it!

Did you try using the Reflection Control tool in Lumion to fix the green reflections in reflective materials for indoor scenes? I think that’s a useful feat, and it seems a quicker solution to the problem. Thanks for the video, btw!

I'll look into that, but I've tweaked pretty much every single slider available there 😅 Thank you for the suggestion, Sebas. It's so cool that the comment section turns into a little forum where we can discuss other solutions. Appreciate it!

@@LearnUpstairs just fyi reflection control is located in tools menu that you may find in build mode, somewhere near the lighting. A button with a wrench icon. So you place it as an object in your scene, and it fixes the issue with world reflection (green grass in your case), works good in general, pretty much must-have tool whatever the scene is. And thanks for the video, Upstairs had helped me a lot during my studying back in the days! Shout out to you, guys!

Mto bom seu canal Man, parabéns.

Opa boa! Toda vez que renderiza ele adiciona automaticamente a bolinha no ponto da camera pra criar as reflexões. Mas valeu pela dica! Vale o teste pra ver se resolve. Obrigado, Studio Megami! 🙏

How do you get render elements/channels from Lumion?

  • @LearnUpstairs

It’s right there on the export window where you choose the final output size you can toggle the render elements on. It has just the initials of each render channel
