The Olight Warrior 3 in Orange has been my EDC everyday carry flashlight for 6 months straight. With that being said I can give you a real review on this tactical flashlight. Now in 2022 we have the updated version called the Olight Warrior 3S flashlight with updates and upgrades. Thee is now a safety proximity sensor built in, a smaller low profile bezel and a bit wider hot spot on the beam. This is a workhorse of a rechargeable LED flashlight with a huge 21700 battery that is charged thru the magnet tailcoat. It is waterproof, drop proof, dust proof and such a tough flashlight. So check out my review of both the Warrior 3 and Warrior 3S and see the comparison. For me there is no doubt this is the best EDC tactical flashlight out there in 2022.

Thanks For this video. just a few days ago I watched your earlier Warrior review that talked about the Olight flashsales, and I was able to get the Warrior 3s on sale (30 or 40% off!). I always thought that bright flashlights needed to be huge, but these flashlights are amazing. Thanks again, you saved me a tonne of cash, and helped make the outdoors at night fun again!!

Stumbled on your site I'm glad to find someone else who thinks this is the best light made. I've had mine for about a year and walk my dog in the dark first thing in the morning. I live out in the country and I'm more amazed with this light now than went I bought it. You can scroll through the brightness levels on the fly and If you need a blinding light hit the turbo. The video does not due this justice it is insanely bright. Magnetic base, moonlight setting, multiple brightness setting it checks every box. If I could only have one flashlight this is it and there is not a close second. If you are in the market for a flashlight don't even think about anything else just pull the trigger and get it, you won't be disappointed.

I used to do it and had a pretty good rig. The minelab equinox 600. Probably the best find I came across on a walking trail was a .22 cal slug. I could not believe it was that sensitive to sniff out a copper slug like that. However. If you don’t live near any historical sites, or virgin grounds (have never been dug)… your best luck would be at busy beach wear people are losing jewelry and all manner of items all the time. Part of the reason it happens is that the ligaments/ extremities of the human body shrink (rings off fingers especially) and therefore fall into the ocean. But good luck and happy hunting if you do get into metal detecting.

How usable is the 1 lumen mode? I have the Olight Perun 2 Mini and its 1 lumen mode is almost bright enough indoors at night as a standalone light source. If the Warrior 3S is anything like that… that alone would be worth it to buy because of the long runtime 💯👌🏼

Hi I'm really considering this light. But I was wondering about the 2.5 minute runtime on turbo... is that 2.5 min a step down and you can use the turbo again eventually after cooling? Or once used on turbo for 2.5 min the turbo is completely useless?

  • @ludoA.K.A

    @ludoA.K.A

Turbo mode will still be available provided the battery is over 75% charged. Below this value, the voltage will be too "low" and the Turbo disappears. An excellent flashlight provided you recharge it with each use, in fact. The Warrior 3 has the same UI too.

Just reconnected to the flashlight world and wow so much change! These are far from your "father's flashlight" with one intensity, finicky batteries that ended up leaking and ruining the flashlight; weak lamps - even kryptons by comparison, that had to be changed once in a while. This model looks great and works great, just got mine.

I just ordered one of these at 40% off on their store page. They're celebrating an anniversary or something (any excuse to have a sale is fine by me). I would love to see more of those that carry firearms also EDC a light. On a side note, I've been carrying the very slim and powerful Fenix pd32v2 for over a year now and that thing has a very tight hot spot... it's actually a bit too tight for many uses, however, it's excellent for blinding an attacker or packing some serious throw. The thing is the most fun light I own for it's thin 18650 form factor and its lazer like capabilities. It's around 40,000 candela at 1,200 lumens(although you'd think it's higher) on turbo and very lightweight. I'm excited to see if the warrior 3s replaces it in my pocket daily, as it's notably larger.

I personally really dislike having a sensor (point of failure) in a flashlight. My first Olight was the baton 3 pro. Two months after purchase it failed due to that sensor. It caused it to auto dim it in every setting regardless of what I did. I just recently ordered the warrior 3s ONLY BECAUSE YOU CAN DISABLE THE SENSOR if it fails. Adding points of failure to a edc tool is just not logical to me personally. And the fact you can disable the sensor on this W3S is the only reason I’m giving Olight a second chance. Would prefer them just put a tough enough lense on it so it wouldn’t melt. Cause we all know that’s the real reason the sensor is there

@@nickpetersen6406 I don’t think you can on this specific unit unless you took it apart and removed it or cut the wires to it possibly? Idk. I have sense swapped to the baton 3 1200lumens and a baton 3 pro max 2500 lumens because the 3 dosnt have the sensor and the 3 pro max you can turn it off. Really hate the sensor a lot personally

That's unfortunate... I got the baton 3 pro yesterday, I need a tail switch for my application thought I would try the botton 3 pro. It's OK but not for the price. Thanks for the reply. Truly means alot and saved me a massive waste of time.

The Olight Warrior 3S is kind of a bad joke, turbo only last 2.5 minutes? Yes, the 2300 turbo only last 2.5 minutes on a fully charged battery, if you need turbo a second time you’ll get 1 minute of runtime. No third time until you recharge and top-off the battery. After 2.5 minutes turbo steps down to a 800lm high mode for additional 166 minutes but.. 800lm high has a greenish tint that really unpleasant! I’ve got a 10 year old Eagtac D25LC2 that runs at 1374 lumens for 1.5hrs that’s smaller and outperforms the Warrior 3S..

If u prefer olight that's cool but it's not the best, the NITECORE MH12SE uses more batteries, has more distance and candela, and longer runtime, duel switches and only 5 inches long, and it uses the same type c charger my phone and everything else uses, don't have to carry a separate charger just for your flashlight, it also uses cr/rcr 123 batteries in a pinch, also has plastic tactical quick draw holster, and optional pressure switch for gun mounting

That's a nice light if you don't mind the charging port and odd texture, however, Nitecore doesn't stand by their warranties and products. There's quite a lot of history with them displaying poor business practices if you care to look into it before making a choice. All that said, I love the throw/ hot spot and spill mixture on the NITECORE MH12SE, so I can see why you would like it for it's compact nature. Many people like a little extra length on their EDC light to bash with if needed.

Good video sir. I have been led to believe that the "S" on this new worrior represents "smooth" for the smooth bezel. Which kinda pissed me off because I already have W3's and you can buy replacement bezels for it. **CORRECTION**. Hey, my apologies buddy,. I went down to my Olight Cave and double checked. In the words of Brandon, "well son of a Beech" the W3 DOES NOT have a Prox-sensor so the S on the W3S must actually mean SENSOR! 🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽

Would be nice if olight would consider C.R.I. Color rendering index... after all the quality of the light should represent the quality of the flashlight.. this brand has excellent builds with pathetic cri. Their is more to light than cool white vs. Neutral white... The light reflected back to the eyes SHOULD be accurate for plus $100.oo pocket lights.

They're still value based compared to MANY other brands. Demanding minutia for the same price point is probably futile. I've been running Olights on several of my weapons for years and they've been money

I like olight flashlights for work or utility use. However I'm not a fan of them for tactical or defensive use. Mainly due to the tail switch. Because of it's tendency for inadvertent activation and, more importantly, issues with consistent activation under stress. This became obvious after my first lowlight class with my Warrior Mini 2, in which others with olights had similar issues. Personally I prefer a Surefire, Modlight, or even Streamlight for defensive use. As of now my go to is a Surefire Stiletto Pro. However I still carry a Baton 3 as a utility light at the same time. An if I need a more serious light the Warrior Mini 2 is great. But a tactical light... no way. An alos their weapon lights are awful. Especially their rifle lights. Their pistol lights seem okay as long as you don't put them on a rifle or think of them as a duty light.

These are absolutly not the best tactical light. I have used one got the past two years everyday. the tail switch will gunk up with sand, mud and dust completely seizing it up with no way to full disassemble it for cleaning. I've had plenty of issues with charging due to faulty batteries and shitty tail switch. And The plastic lens will dirty and scuff very easily due to it being plastic

Ya. Until it's recalled in 6-8 months.. then we will get the "Warrior 3s double Plus Supreme" model. People act like a proximity sensor is the best since thing since yogurt in a tube. It's pretty bad if you can't figure out to use a lockout feature & end up getting 3rd degree burns.

So I’ve had my warrior 3 for close to a year if not a year and I can say I regret my purchase. Chip sucks constantly coming out my pocket, even after cutting off the second bend because it snag on everything, and adjust it to have more clamping force than what it came with. overheats with no vents. Magnet on the back is a pain because I do metal work, button constantly clogged with steel from that. And now it’s turning itself on at 3am in the morning waking me up to write this review. My fenix I’ve had since high school, literally have worn the rubber button out on the back selector from the over decade I’ve used it and only issue I had was i had to retighten the clicker back in all the way from the amount of times I’ve clicked it came a little loose. It came with a second rubber protector on the back selector which I swapped out. My fenix I’ve dropped hundreds of times, would throw it into my sister salt water pool and go swimming with no issues. Most of the flashlight on my fenix is worn silver from the amount I’ve used it. Probably going to ask my brother for it back or buy a new one. I was expecting a $100+ flashlight to at least last a year or more…. Never going with a olight again. Don’t fall for the sponsored reviews they put out, because they don’t last and make a crappy product.
