Easier for me to keep up with what's going on when he plays solo, not his fault I'm super slow though and think it's great he plays with friends:)

I copped this on drop, it’s one of those games that will go over so many people’s heads but please just try it, people sunk 30 hours into the DEMO alone. Up to 6 players coop. Content that never ends.

This suggests that we are looking through a camera. This effect happens in real life when a camera is exposed to radiation - the energized particles are hitting the photosensitive matrix and causing pixels to glow white for a moment .

This has gotta be inspired by half life. The whole theme of aliens & monsters going loose in a lab, the crowbar & weapon system, even the radio voices sound super similar to half life.

it totally is. the elevator sequence (4:56) was a lot like the tram ride. also some of the doors (e.g. 13:09) are the same design as half life doors. the crates, the ladder mechanics (e.g. 26:33)... its very similar. its not a bad thing either! this game certainly has a soul, its not just a rip off.

Dan Floyd from PlayFrame called it "Black Mesa with the serial number filed off" and I completely agree. This game couldn't be more Half Life coded; the setting, the humor, the intro sequence and of course the graphic style is all extremely Half Life. To the point, that a whole room (flooded with water and electricity running through it) is almost exactly the same. The nostalgia has been hitting me like a freight train from the first glance at it. I'm itching to give this game a try, but my gaming computer is down and the notebook can't handle it at all. It's killing me to know this perfect blend of Half Life and survival crafting game exists and I can't play it 😭 Edit: typos & wording

Heey Insym! Quick tips - the Gaseous Nest 1:02:26 you found there is actually safe and useful portable trampoline. It will help you to reach hidden loot (you can check ceiling at Level 3) and create shortcuts - crafting soil bags requires human poop, but you can´t scoop it out of toilet, so you just have to ban toilet and wait.. :´D - protect your base, since there will be a lot of enemies soon and they will evolve really fast Waiting for your next video & also playing Abiotic same time

The security office is also a very secure location. With a bench set up against the Lockerroom’s glass it covers the area and the enemy spawns for storms sets them outside of the door. Dropping the gate will leave them standing there, perfect for spearing, shooting, or slicing. But make sure to close the back door, soldiers like spawning back there.

Oh my god Insym, you HAVEN'T played Half-Life?! It's SO up your alley tho! You'd love it! There was a fan-made remaster of Half-Life 1 called Black Mesa a few years ago that really improved the graphics. I'll send you the link to the steam page on your suggestion form. Those little sucker things that grab you with their tongues originated in Half-Life, I believe.

Yeah, Insym was still a baby when it came out, so by the time he was old enough to play it, it was already an old game. A classic to know about - not necesarily to play it. I played it including the opposing force and the blue shift expansions over 20 years ago. It was something unbelievably good and fresh back then.

@@Holtijaar Oh man, I'd love to have played it when it first came out! I bet that was an amazing experience. I only got into horror games in 2017. It's been great having so many classic horror games to explore as fast as I can finish them but I do wish I'd been able to experience the excitement and active fan communities on launch the way I did with Resi 7, Bendy, At Dead of Night, the Fatal Frame remakes, etc. My favorite horror game of all time is Alien Isolation and I really wish I'd been there in 2014 when it first dropped.

Dude this game has excellent vibes. Im playing it with two friends right now, but we need more! So glad you did this one. Really liked the run you did with the crew.

Forgot to mention that in the video but you cannot use that club until you have like 8 strength. If you try to use it before that it does way less damage and moves incredibly slow

The whole survival base building aspect is what's really appealing to me about this game. I'm getting major half-life vibes from the story but still curious to see how it plays out. I feel like as you get closer to the end game, that spot with the controllable shutters would make a great base area. You could use the locker room as storage too. I wish you could make the people you find do things for you like in your settlements in Fallout 76. I feel like your current setup could be better if you put your bed in the small room with the guy, and put other "personal" type stuff in there. Without the bed in the corner, you can utilize more space for anything else, like the repair bench. It bothers me to see the electric wires go across the room xD Anyway, those are my thoughts on this episode. Loving this game so far, keep it up!
