Hi Brian, love your coverage of new products coming down the pipe! Homey Pro has me very interested in possibly replacing my SmartThings home hub. I’m hoping they get the matter piece working and get more companies sensors & equipment in their lineup. Hoping as they grow the price becomes more palatable & hoping you do an in depth review on this smart hub! Thanks as always for your efforts!

Great video as always. 100% honest review of Home Assistant. I moved from SmartThings to HA over a year ago, and I’m glad, but I like problem solving and projects. That’s key with Home Assistant. I think that came across in your review. If someone wants a smart home hub that isn’t labor intensive, HA would be a terrible choice.

If you can get the Homey Pro people's attention, I will buy Homey Pro when they add Sonoff and Yolink support. That's a deal-breaker. 70+ devices in those favors. Bryan, how about telling us what the Sonoff iHost can do for us? And where you think its headed?

Doing a new construction home any suggestion for recessed smart color lighting trying wire a smart home and also need switches that work with smart lighting etc.

Switches don't work with smart color lighting. You need to pick one or the other. I'd pick Lutron Caseta for lighting control. I'd pick Philips Hue for color lighting

@@AutomateYourLife I’m doing 70 slim 5/6 Phillips hue recessed lights and I have 36 - 4” bulbs for cans inside and outside. I’m using regular switches just in case in the future but I also bought Philips hue switches and dimmers so the whole house will be Phillips hue

I'm thinking go with automation of my Apt. Do you think the Hubitat Elevation Home Automation Hub (Model C-8) this ok to start with this? And how this will work with Samsung smart things?

Your TV has an Infrared Receiver and your remote for it has an Infrared Transmitter. The things we buy in smart homes are usually just called Infrared Blasters because they can be trained to control lots of your TVs and more. So an IR Blaster is just a remote that can be trained and fires the signal in many directions

Wish smartlocks would use the existing lock. These mechanisms are so utterly inferior to a modern Kaba safe lock, both in keysaftey and locksturdyness. I'd never trust these things .. they look like the can be ripped off and forced open easily.
