Hi guys! We're back with Skyrim modding coverage and this time, we overview the best Skyrim mods released in 2024 or mods that I discovered this year! Enjoy! Q: "What armor are you using at -insert timestamp here-?" A: Feel free to leave a comment, I do read all of them, and I will make sure to respond as soon as I can. Q: "Mod List?" A: There are 2 visual overhauls on my Discord that you can access, with a guide holding your hand from start to finish. It's what my own work in progress mod list is based on. The mod list used in this video is currently private and will be released some time in the future, once I feel like it's a complete product. Q: "Can you cover console mods?" A: Sorry, but most likely not. Technical capability for consoles is very limited, and my main focus is on PC. Q: "Will you ever cover Fallout 4 Mods?" A: Next video :) Q: "Where is the Dawnguard video?" A: Don't even get me started. This video has had many setbacks, and just when I thought everything was done and could finally release it, a bunch of my footage got corrupted during one of the import processes. Luckily, the process of recovery was mostly successful, but my entire project is screwed up. And that requires more time to sort out, so at this point, I'll stop promising release dates, and just say that it will be released when it's ready. Hey Syn, I like the rapid fire mod showcase format. Watched the whole thing. Only thing I'd like to add would be chapters for each of the mods to make it easier to go back to each one of them. Also what animation mod was that in 7:28 that made her waddle in shallow water. That's got some AC 4 Blackflag vibes and I'm all for it.

My computer might die with all the additional files I needed to bloody get to run all these. My PC hurts and is crying in pain lmao. It took 30 minutes to install a 108mb file because I had so many downloading at the same time.

Since you asked for feedback, I personally enjoy showcases based on the content itself, not how fast or slow it is. If a mod is a simple 3D object, it is pointless to talk about it for 2 minutes. It's all about striking that perfect balance, which your showcases almost always do! Great video as always, Syn, and like I said in the last one, consider covering mods for other games!

If he does that then he wouldn't have time to do the showcases the way he does, let's not forget he does have a life outside of this you know, let the man enjoy it. If and when he moves on from Skyrim then no problem but right now he is invested in Skyrim not just the showcases so let's let him work his way, why fix it, if it isn't broken?

I like this rapid fire mod showcase. I think it works best for this kind of general list showcase, though it might not be as good with videos that have specific themes (e.g. combat mods only, or ENB mods only) because you might have to go into more detail to be able to differentiate them from the other mods in each video

Solid video. I prefer in-depth, longer videos so I can get a deeper sense as to whether I want to try the mods, but this rapid fire approach does a good job of being just information dense enough without being overly complicated or too simple. It's a good balance. I wouldn't be mad if you stuck with this style, despite my preference.

Great video. I really really enjoyed this. Perhaps you can go over a few mod lists that are gaining popularity. And Id love you to be able to show people how to make a huge mod list with all the mods you love.

Format is good, especially when I'm watching this on the move and saving it for when I'm actually at my pc and want to skim it for the mods that stuck out. Video suggestion: a showcase of mods that were considered amazing when they came out but arent mentioned anymore because all the youtubers are featuring the latest mods. Stuff like project AHO, immersive interactions, nethers follower framework are examples that many people have in their load orders but if you took a couple of months off modding when they came out you might not know about them.

I often come to watch your videos because of the production value - they are so calming and engrossing to watch and I will often get excited and go grab a cup of tea to sit down and watch the latest Syn video :) The quickfire mod spotlights are great - would still love to see deep dives on mods you particularly like or those that would be remiss without that detail in their presentation. Thanks for the great content!

@@SynMods Mind if I ask how you got the Don't sheathe bound weapons DAR animations mod working with the penance arm. Been struggling to get the equip/unequip to work with mine after editing the conditions.txt like suggested.

I think these shortform rapid fires really speak to your skill at writing video script as you give a comprehensive overview of the mod and presenting all I need to know to either decide if im interested enough to look into it or if it isnt for my modlist. The quality of these videos just from the art perspective is very high and made me instantly sub after just 1 video. Well done, thank you, and I'll look forward to more showcases on this channel.

I enjoy the more rapid-fire style. There's just SOOOO many Skyrim mods that knowing which to grab or that exist is more helpful for building a modlist that doing deep dives into each one. I mean, the mod authors will likely have enough description or their own vids or showcases etc. to get a good idea about the intricacies of their mod, meanwhile you do such a beautiful job of showing off each mod you talk about, even with this quicker format. Thanks for all your videos and hard work!!!

Oh wow. There are some seriously fabulous mods here. So to your question about the style of rapid fire showcasing - You've left me wanting to know more about them and a ton of questions. If you continue to use this approach then I'd love to see you do a deep dive into some of the more complex ones to cover things like compatibility and set up. Otherwise as I said at the start - Oh wow.

Each time you release a video, it reminds me why i ceased to mod Skyrim: Too much beautiful mod to the point of having a headache when it comes to chose and instal them. Anyway nice videos as always.

The presentation ist optimal. Not to fast not to slow. You could perhaps mention here and there if the mod is ESL- or ESP-based because this is really a thing nowadays and more and more modders reach the 254 plugin limit. Thank you for this!

The rapid fire format works well. I can see you highlighting about five fewer mods, and giving each another twenty seconds, if you start getting cramped on time. But, yeah, this works!

Just now getting into Skyrim modding and was already planning to start Fallout next so yippeee! Have never played Fallout before but when I bought Skyrim I got Fallout for about $5 more. Joined the discord. Also - I like this format of review because I don't want to know all the intricacies so I can instead discover it more in game.

You are the GOAT of Skyrim mods mate! If there are any mods which integrated ESO spells/skills from different classes would you showcase them here?

This is probably a silly question, but in the beginning of the immersion section, there's an hdt version of a ks hairdo. Is that available to download somewhere? It looks so cool!

The rapid fire format is good. I usually watch videos to discover mods, but deciding whether or not to get them comes down to their nexus page, compatibility, requirements, etc.

What mods are you using for the small snippet you showed of Whiterun?

I like this rapid fire setup but I also don't have a problem with the slower - less mods setup. My first thought is that this faster setup could act as an intro to a selection of mods you want to go in more detail. Maybe have the audience comment or vote on which ones interest them to guide you from there.

The shield comes from a recently released Lion Guard Armor Set & Weapons, and the sword is called Radzig Longsword.

I don't think the modding community will ever die for this game unless another Elder Scrolls comes out and they are given all the tools. Skyrim mods has taught me patience abit. having 50 or 100 mods and when one or two doesn't play nice now you gotta find which is the issue or patches.

All I want is to get my character's face to look as good as yours. The one on the thumbnail with the long silverish hair looks so pretty. I tried using presets but it never looks like the pics. Mine always come out janky looking.

Could you make a mod list of the for you preset mods for making these videos?

For the most part I use either Vanargand II or Leviathan II Animations. And if I am in the mood for something less stylized, I go for simple Pristine Animations.

@@SynMods Also I think you'd like "Malignis Animations - Random Idles Talk Barter", I've started using it with Vanargand ll and it's SOOO good, you would have to manually delete the idle for Vanarguard though

what character mods you using? Looks like your character is draggin a wagon.

the only complaint I have is the MCO the combat animations require is no longer available
