I am yet to buy the enclosure as the SSD . I see SSD ‘s with a heatsink option. Heatsink is the pad to stick on right ? Is it not recommended to have that pad included ? Or will the enclosure always ! come with its own pad anyway ?

They normally come with their own pads. Always take of the plastic on both sides first before placing on the drive. You can buy thicker or better heat sink tape also on Amazon.

please tell me which one is better *crucial p3 plus* or *wd blue sn580* ?????

I don't know what better means and have not real way of answering that. I would search reviews and see what fits your needs.

It would be interesting talk about usb cables you recommend for those NVMe drives

It would come with any enclosure that you use and it would depend on if 10 Gbps or Thunderbolt (40 Gbps). But cables would come with any enclosure.

is crucial p3 plus good for a long term? to use with important data.. they are cheaper than wd black, samsung pro, but this speed is good enough for me. i only worry with durability

I currently am using the following: WD Black SN770 1 TB WD Black SN850X 2 TB I am a Mac user so these are used as external drives. I am very satisfied with the performance. No issues...

I still have 15+ year old 1TB and 2TB WD HDD's that I use for extra storage on PC. I always had good luck with WD.

@@rmjaln I use a Sabrent EC-SNVE enclosure for the 1 TB drive and a Acasis TBU401E for the 2 TB drive. Hope this was helpful...

My first ever NVMe drive is an ADATA 850 LITE 1 terabyte SSD. It was $69. It went into a Thunderbolt 4 enclosure which cost $79. Seems to work OK. I am using it as a boot drive for my Mac mini.

Just over a year ago I bought WD Black 1 TB SN 770 with a sabrent enclosure and use it as boot drive too. Have had to erase it once since then as there were corruption issues. But my Mac 2018 mini overheats too quickly. I think the drive is good just not the best year to buy a Mac mini.

Any SSD will be plenty for gaming. Some even use spinning drives believe it or not. But a SATA or nvme SSD is best for faster load times.

The reason the Samsung 970 EVO Plus is still popular is because they updated the internal hardware from the Phoenix controller to the Ellipsis controller and memory chips that are found on the 980 Pro, so you are basically getting an upgraded NVME on but 3.0 speeds.

When I guy a 2280 nvme ssd the first thing I look for not is what you thought me TBW then speed and my needs, as of now thing below 50000 is good enough for Me. plus I like SP ssd D90U and things Not Made China.
