The BEST Seed Cleaning / Sorting Machine!?

In this video I show you a seed cleaner / sorter machine that I bought off Etsy. What do you think about this machine? Let me know in the comments below! Also let me know what type of seeds you would use in this machine; pumpkin seeds, apple seeds, basil seeds, chia seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, or another type of seed.

You can make this machine at home for a fraction of the price - around $50!! There is even one guy who made it out of cardboard lol. I personally would much rather pay someone to make it for me and support them for their work so I don't have to spend the time making it. Technically I paid $2 for this machine. How? Well the price that it is being sold for is equivalent to 50 seeds. I spent ~$75 to create ~2000 seeds. Therefore, each seed cost about 4 cents to make. That brings the total cost for 50 seeds to $2 :)

Used to use one of these when I was breeding birds for the pet trade. There called a winnower. I made mine out of some plywood, an old hair drier, and a sheet of Perspex. I could adjust the air flow by moving a lever, this allowed me to fine tune the sorting for different types and sizes of seed. Hope you have a speed controller on the one you have? To adjust the airflow.

I don't know if I saw it on a previous video of yours or somewhere else, but the plans or a link to the plans were on the video I watched. I have a carpenter who lives across the road and from time to time he taps me up for an 1/8. Last time he did, I gave him the plans to this and asked him if he could build it for me. He was like, no problems, so any time now I'm expecting a knock at the door with my new seed sorting machine. Edit, I'm so rude, forgot to say, so Chris, as usual, thanks a lot for a great video with great info 👍

Do you just dry the plants to dust before crumbling them up? I thought about making one of these but when I was breaking them up mine were at like 60% rh. I think that's where I messed up. It felt blasphemous to destroy all those trichomes :(. Got a ton of edible material and a ton of seeds though. Highly recommend sts over colloidal silver for fems if/when you go that route.
