The real question here is which set pokes holes in a plasterboard ceiling better? Asking for a friend 🙃

Wiha has a 6mm screwdriver designed to be hammered in to walls for dowels. It even had a softgrip handle. A friend told me it also works on plasterboard, but be carefull it's non insulated.

Boddingtons are probably my favourite VDE drivers I have used and are in my main tool bag. Just bought a VDE set from Gedore, which have quite large uniquely shaped handles, and can get a lot of torque, so will be interesting to see how long the tips last on them. Have Wiha interchangeables in the test bag along with the torque handle, but have found they are quite weak tips in comparison to other brands. Haven't seen those Wiha torque adapter bits before, might give some of them a try.

Wera interchangeable ones are by far my favourite I've used, feel like the knipex and wiha handles are too small

Bahco ergo slim for me absolute champs, not snapped one in the 2 years I’ve had them. I also use the Wiha torque driver daily, have noticed the modulo 2 bit snaps easily, they are also marked to a max torque on them think it’s 5.5nm which the torque driver doesn’t go up to, yet still snaps them, might be more fatigue, as said they are used daily for tightening boards etc.

Hi Mark, I've got standard CK VDE ones average-priced I find them comfortable to hold and use I can get individual replacements from my local wholesalers if needed. A screwdriver is a screwdriver to me. I find that a lot of brand snobbery these days.

I’ve got some cheap Stanley for rough stuff, hammering and poking ceilings. Wiha for most other stuff and two small wera (3.5 and 4mm) which are lovely. I do have a set of Boddingtons which are just solid simple drivers, they’re in my tester beg so don’t get a lot of use. I also picked up a Cory recommended Lidl usb driver which is pants. Think I might save up for a vessel powered driver

A screwdriver that won't break when you use it on different types of screws. Can be used as chisel / pry bar or hammer. Should be able to punch through any material. Has a return function when you miss place it.

Not a sparky but I like to have a set of VDE drivers in my toolbox. Well actually not a set, they are a mix of Felo Ergo, Wiha, CK Germany (new old stock), Gedore and Klauke, bought individually. For heavy duty stuff I can use my Wera Chiseldrivers.

not keen on many of these mate. Didn't get on with Klein but the first set you have look nice. After having CK, Wira, Wiha, Klein i've gone back to Bahco which at the moment are much better. Just waiting for the tips to snap like the last set!

Hi Ste, we got the wera turbos a good while ago. Must admit I didn’t like mine and gave it away. Think Nathan still uses his though. The wera torque set is limited in range. I prefer the wiha ones. Either fixed torque like shown in the video or the regular torque set. The armed gear is rock solid but perhaps a little bulky. Depends on your area of work. Some MCCBs go to quite high torque values but at that level you’re using a wrench anyway. Thanks and hope that helps
