I would at least make sure the sides were solidified before pouring the drink in. That way, there is no way it could be sticky.

Aside from sticking chocolate on the edge of the cup, this is a nice hot chocolate

Best Rich Hot Chocolate Ingredients: 2 cups milk 2 tbsp granulated sugar 1 tsp cornstarch *see note 1 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 tsp instant coffee or 1/4 tsp orange zest (optional) or a pinch of cinnamon For the Topping: Whipped Cream Instructions: In a medium saucepan, add milk, sugar, cornstarch, and cocoa powder, and whisk together until combined. Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and heat while stirring occasionally until heated through. Add chocolate chips and continue stirring until chocolate chips melt. If you choose to, add extract, coffee, cinnamon or orange zest. Remove from the heat and let it cool for just 2-3 min. Top with whipped cream and serve with your favorite pastry. Bon appetit! Note: If you like a thicker and richer hot chocolate, you can increase the amount of cornstarch by 1 tsp. I personally recommend it-I love it this way!

First time I saw this the cup triggered me but actually I love it. It's so inner child soothing... like, allowing yourself to enjoy a delicious creamy hot chocolate and who cares if it's messy!

I'm okay with scooping the spilled chocolate on the mug, tho... with spoon or croissant... I mean, if I made it for myself I kinda want to do experiment or decorate sth like that I guess I'm too mesmerized by how delicious the hot chocolate looks like. I think it's aesthetic as usual ✨

The issue is its messy. The messiness of it makes it unappealing. Salt on the rim is neat and cute. Chocolate sliding down the sides is too much in my opinion. The dirtiness of the cup would make me not want to drink it all. I hate a dirty cup!
