I'm so glad you are discussing this. When I first found out about the different love languages it really opened my mind.

I'm physical touch all the way, even with close friends I'm very prone to hugs and linking arms. But on the other end of the spectrum, if I don't know you or trust, I don't want to be touched. I learnt about Love Languages through Rhett and Link years ago and it completely changed the way I looked at relationships. It was really cool to hear you talking so openly about it Raya. x

I heard about these five love languages too like 3 years ago and i really felt like i finally understood why I like giving thoughtful presents so much, or why I like taking care of people who are dear to me. I have been with my boyfriend for almost 3,5 years now and I also feel like understanding each other's love language makes a huge difference in understanding each other! Great video Raya, hopefully this will help a lot of people understanding themselves and their partners/friends/family better :)

I have known about the 5 love languages and it helps so much to understand what you need in a relationship and what your partner needs as well. Love it!!

I love that book! I have read The 5 Love Languages singles edition and it was awesome and eye opening. For me my love language in expressing love is quality time and words of affirmation.

I advocate for that book so hard. I read it a while ago (the singles version and married version) and it's a game changer! Really opens your eyes to how you can love someone better. My top two love languages are words of affirmation and acts of service.

I've read the 5 love languages in children and am waiting for this version from the library. Such amazing valuable info for keeping any relationship going strong.

My tank is filled is by quality time and the way I love to express my love for others is through gifts.

I talk about this so much!! I love getting people to think about it and talk the quiz and compare to me and this is so important with any kind of relationship and so even with my friends I've talked about it before. My top 2 are quality time and physical touch but I also tend to give a lot of words of affirmation particularly because a lot of people aren't necessarily into physical touch. And sometimes they shift over time so I've probably taken the test like 3 times and that's super interesting to me to see how things change.

This also works for your children in your relationships with them! So cool!

This is so helpful I wish I had this when I was in my last relationship. I receive and give love in the same way of just doing little small things for each other, things that most people would notice

I did the test one year and half ago and I did it again today. With no suprise, it changes a lot, my result are much more uniform 5 for the lowest and 7 for the highest! It makes sense a lot, because thanks to the test I realize they were several type of love languages, and so I less care about which one my partner use because now I can see it all where as before no. Moving together explain a lot also, your couple is in a different dynamic and it's make change the love language too.

The whole Quiz is just basically talking about giving each other gifts. Some of us are poor

My husband and I are both Acts of Service first and then Quality Time. For me, the best way to show someone you like them or love them is to do something for them. Especially something that will make their life easier. Running an errand, filling up the car, etc. This is what I prefer from others, as well. Words of Affirmation and Physical Touch were really low on my list and Gifts was only moderately higher. For those who are familiar with Myers-Briggs, I'm an INTJ and my husband is an INTP.

I need all the touch. Just give it to me, bring it in. I tend to be the sneaky acts of service and words. Gifts not really my thing, I suppose its because I don't really value them much that I tend to think everyone is like that. Clearly not, but you know, not my first instinct. I'd rather we go shopping together, its more fun that way.

I got words of affirmation and quality time which i definitely knew that words of affirmation was my highest one. Ellen Fisher another amazing youtuber just posted a video a few days ago talking about this many books also most specificly about this book actually and now that you mentioned it yourself I really want to read it. 😊❤ I cannot wait to share this quiz with my fiancé and see what he gets it might help me understand him a bit more. Great video! My husband and I did this a few moths ago and Quality Time is mine, Touch is his (touch is my least lol). My husband and I also got a huge amount of help in our marriage at the 10 year mark from Men are from Venus, Women are from Mars. For the last 6.5 years our arguments have been 95% gone. I think it's great to improve relationships! :D

I HAVE A DILEMMA WITH THIS ISSUE, I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING HERE BUT TO ME IT SEEMS LIKE ONCE BOTH SIDES DISCUSS HOW ONE ANOTHER RECEIVES LOVE AFTER IT JUST ISN'T NATURAL HOW ONE ANOTHER EXPRESSES THEIR LOVE TO ME ITS LIKE FORCING MY SELF TO LOVE A CERTAIN WAY THAT ISN'T NATURAL ME.

My grandparents live in the same apartment as me (also with my brother and mother ) So when my grandparents come home after shopping I see them walking on the sidewalk towards our entrance ( because we arme in the 3th floor) So I wait till I see them and I run to them and insist to carry the baggage upstairs (sometimes quite heavy to carry the rolling shopping trolly upstairs). Sorry for my bad english it's late ^^ PS They and my mom are from Bulgaria 🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬 ❤️ Tomorrow school so leka nosht. :)
