You have mentioned 3 points : 1 ) assume positive 2 ) learn to listen longer 3 ) skip together ( arrange tipme for your family) All these point it's what ( real ) Islam called for it , but there is one different , that we don't have a relationship , we have to marry and treat your wife by these 3 points and more , like forgiveness etc Again thinks . My God , you're so right ! This is the thing my ex girl did and destroyed our relationship , constantly using negative projection on me ... Getting mad about every little thing , assuming always the worst things about me . I couldn't deal with it any longer , I decided to leave her .

I wish I'd found this a month ago.. I knew I could make my relationship work I just couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong and this video just told me. I understand that it takes work to make any relationship work whether it is with yourself, your spouse or your kids. It's all about building a relationship..so that takes time, trial & error, learning from our mistakes, being open & receptive, wanting to connect instead of disconnecting, etc. We don't learn all this stuff overnight! I've learned from my own past relationships that if we all took responsibility for how we felt, then most conflicts would be resolved quicker & sooner. Unfortunately, we humans, like to blame, shame, accuse, guilt or make others feel responsible for how we feel because we defensively don't want to be burdened with the guilt, shame or feeling that we did something wrong. We become more protective of our fragile egos. I learned that it is not weakness to admit when you are wrong and don't feel like you need to win a fight because you end up feeling like a loser anyway because that only creates more tension & friction in the relationship. Be kind where love is needed! Sometimes that means...Don't feel the need to be right. Let go of the fight before it escalates into something ugly. Protect your own sanity & peace. Take ownership & accountability for your own feelings. I agree that if you are in a place of fear, there is no love. You have to be in a place of love to create a relationship.
