LOL, you boys are Irish happy...can't blame ya, if you are Irish. ;-) I will have to go look up some standings to see if it is really true, if that's what you mean, other than just this "demo". No doubt, though, that THIS Irishmen was driving the piss out of that poor car in this particular rally snippet! They sounded like they needed their "brown pants" AND that they were having a blast. It really does amaze me the level of some of these rally folks driving skills...I used to play around in the dirt (and street) occasionally with my SEVERELY (for a daily driver at the time) tweaked 84 RX7 GSLSE, (270 hp, bars/shocks/spring rates upped/lowered an inch/upgraded struts, RE71's, etc) and driving at this level MUST take some severe CONCENTRATION and skills...I was never even CLOSE to this kind of proficiency, but a hoot none the less. One thing I DO see here watching a few of these is that a braking reduction in speed of about 5% just before those flight inducing crests might be prudent, if the idea is to finish. ;-) Cheers

I read an article one time, about how a driver admitted that he had no clue what the hell his co-driver was saying for the years they drove together... he goes on to state that "how the hell am I supposed to figure out what he's saying when I'm flying sideways through the air at 90mph" or something to that effect 🤣

No he says "Mami j'te aime" He is french and he was Didier Auriol codriver. They were in a Seat Cordoba WRC by the way.Every time he had an accident he would say that, and he refers to his wife, not his grandma.

Maybe just a personality thing. I don’t think I’d have the gall required to drive like that but I’d love to call the cues, none of the responsibility of not killing your passengers and all the fun of being jangled around in the car and giving instructions
