For me, Fred and George best lines are same for a book and a movie. It's when they change into Harry at the beggining of Deathly Hallows. "Wow! We're identical!" 1) It's perfectly showing how funny and synchronized they were. 2) It's the last time they really were identical (George's ear).

"Always" is the best quote in the whole thing to me. My friend has it tattooed as it was his mums favourite line before she died, which also matches perfectly with Lily saying "Always" to harry in the forbidden forest via the resurrection stone. "Always" has become THE harry potter line to me.

For Sirius, my favorite movie line is definitely "You are not a bad person Harry, you're a good person who bad things have happened to" as Harry went through so much at this moment. For Dumbledore it is definitely "It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."

That's my favorite Sirius quote from the movie too! My other favorite quote is from Deathly Hallows Part 2, "Quicker and easier than falling asleep."

mcgonagolls line should’ve been “why is it always you three that get into trouble” and then ron answers “trust me professor, i’ve been asking myself the same question for 6 years”

Snapes always never fails to make me cry. Like it shows that even when Lily turned her back on him and married his worst enemy, he still loved her. Even when Lily died he still loved her. He loved her even when it caused him pain. And he protected Harry through thick and thin because he was Lilys son He hated Harry due to him being James's son. But his love for Lily was so strong he couldn't bear seeing that last piece of her dying. Snape loved Lily. ALWAYS

Narcissa wasn't just afraid for Draco but she also would have been freaked out that Voldemort hit Harry with the killing curse twice and it didn't kill him either time. At that point she probably would have been thinking that Voldemort is gonna lose.

I'm quite fond of Harry telling Mrs. Weasley "I like a quiet life, you know me" in Half-Blood Prince. A nice self-aware injection of humor to make her feel better during a tough time. Genuinely a funny line, but it's nice in context too

Mine, from that movie, is when they are talking to slughorn and Dumbledore asks slughorn if he can take the knitting magazine. Dumbledore says "I do enjoy reading knitting patterns." I am a knitter and really enjoy reading, and trying, new knitting patterns.

McGonagall has the best quotes in both books and films. In the films, I love "Yes Longbottom. BOOM!" and her asking Umbridge, if she wants an anti-cough fudge, as she repeatadly coughed interrupting her in her office. In the books, "That, was very KNIGHTLY from you, Potter", got me, when Harry used crucio on Amycus Carrow (or Alecto, idk)

Evanna Lynch for me is the best casting decision they've made. The only other actors in the series that embraced and fall for their characters this much is Tom Felton. Which is ironic because evanna is a big fan of the series and always wanted to be Luna while Tom Felton just randomly auditioned without reading any books but somehow got casted

My favourite Ginny line from the movie was when she yelled “Shut It!” At the Quidditch trials. That one always tickled me 🤣 (As did when Ron said “Accio Brain” in the OOTP book)

Because despite everything, Sirius was still a member of the Black family, and that was indeed his true character. Just because he directed his hatred constructively, doesn't mean he was any less of a man ruled by contempt and hatred than his family. Just look at how he and James treated Snape at Hogwarts. Indeed, there was a reason everyone, even Remus, could believe he betrayed James and killed Peter. Ironically, the way Sirius is initially presented to us as the Prisoner of Azkaban, is indeed who he really was deep down.

However well adjusted he might be, the version of him we see in the present is a result of Azkaban in many ways. He was a dick as a teenager, in an awful household. That doesn't mean he's inherently evil.

the reason he hated kreacher was bc kreacher always followed his mother's instructions and also despised sirius bc sirius was a rebel and grimauld place is the place where he used to be abused by his family. And kreacher still have the values of his mother the way he mutters racial slurs to the residents there.

@@ceciliaeth6550 In Sirius’s defense, Kreacher wasn’t exactly easy to be nice too, everyone but Hermione hated him or at least disliked him in OOTF, though the others weren’t mean to him like Sirius was, but Kreacher said awful things about the others in front of them, and like Sirius said Kreacher knew what he was saying.

Also my favourite George quote (from the books) was when he said: “Well, you’ll be able to tell us apart now Mum”

my favourite dumbledore (and entire film franchise) quote is "soon we must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy" and surprised there was no flitwick, "names" "professor flitwick, youve known me for five years" "no exceptions, Potter"

there is another Remus lupin line that stands out for me and I'm surprised that wasn't his best one and that line is "it's the quality of one's conviction that determines success, not the number of followers" which was said in the last film and really just emphasises the outcome of the battle but for me that will always be my favourite line because it makes me fall in love with the character and David Thewlis who plays him in the film makes me love the character even more. i will make not secret that him and Natalia Tena's character in the harry potter series is legendary.

Actually, I’d say Bellatrix’s best (& most evil) movie line was “How’s mum & dad?”

@@Annah.k Seriously, I loved the way that line was delivered. It was nothing like what I was hearing in my head while reading it. Carter delivered it as if she’d just won an amusement park competition or something, it was great and it gives me chills every time.

I feel like that line is applicable to so much it's almost universal. A Stellar line all around.
