If you’re not trying local places in Arroyo, you are missing out. Never understood why people go abroad and don’t eat local dishes. English breakfasts, Sunday dinners etc etc, you have in the UK, go abroad and sample the produce.

Frozen pastry, frozen chips, frozen veg, pre buttered bread. Usually you deduct points galore for these things. But not this time!

It’s not a pie, it’s braised steak with some puff pastry plonked on top. Chips didn’t look home made. Am sure it was ok but I think you went with the intention of giving it a ten so that’s what it got! Anyone else notice the lady in the background not eating but hogging a table? Go, and let someone else have the table when it’s busy!

I’ve been a Benidorm fan for years and had many trips there however your latest extravaganza in benalmadena have made me want to re visit soon I used to rent an apartment there years ago with my kids when they were little it was great looks even better now 20 years on , thanks mate.

Go to a Spanish restaurant and have the Menu del Dia, 3 courses and a drink for roughly 12 Euros, between 2 and 4, an absolute bargain.

There are plenty of great places to eat at in that area. I'm heading out there this week and definitely need to try this place!

I use an iPhone for all my video stuff. I even use it for guitar lessons over Zoom and for livestream gigs when I did them. I plug in with the Camo app into my desktop Mac, works a treat.

I wasn’t expecting the pie to be like that with a piece of puff pastry on top of the meat. My mum used to make her own pastry (not puff pastry) and it really made the pie, just to die for. I would score it a 7 or 7.5 out of 10 due to the puff pastry.

Hi mate. That looked lovely. The pastry and the filling seemed mouthwatering. I'm not a huge fan of carrots or mushy peas but i will still eat them if they're on the plate. I always put gravy on my veg too. I'm still going to give it a 10/10 just hecause of the pie and the price. I've just got back from Rhodes by the way and defeated my fear of flying i was telling you about. Lovely place. I think you'd like it over there as the weather was great and the food we had was fantastic. Especially the lamb, beef and Kofta dishes. Thanks for sharing mate as always👍🙂

I once had a steak and ale pie like that with a flakey pastry top in a pub in York I can always remember it as I had a pint of Cameron’s Strong Arm with it. Sadly I’m not into my real ale anymore, I’m more of a cider/lager drinker now, but that steak pie did look good. What an excellent place to eat and drink. Those Ploughman’s looked the real deal it ever I saw one. Proper English grub abroad this place. Incidentally I use my iPhone 11 for filming and making videos. Nice vlog Lee.

To answer your question about the tivoli it went into recievership two years ago had my first holliday abroad in 1999 went there with the family it was an amazing place

Yes, I too liked the look of that restaurant and meal and I'd certainly try it if I were to visit there. The bread and butter to mop up the gravy is not just a Scottish thing, I'm English and grew up doing it as did many others, and still do, yum yum. I'd have needed more gravy on the meal though I think.

Enjoying the videos Lee keep them going we will be there in two weeks time, a must for us when in Benalmadena is a visit to Paloma Park, it is just up the hill towards Arroya from the Windmill roundabout, the park has a lake with turtles,and has a vast array of free roaming wildlife rabbits chickens peakcocks some goats and many more, the beautiful park has amazing gardens and even has a canabis growing area, a massive cactus garden and all sorts of wonderfull species, also a few coffee bars for refreshment including beer🤣🤣

It amazes me how much you eat. Its like man Vs food Lee lol I'm off there in Oct with my grandkids so will deffo try this place and we are staying Sunset beach Club so not far to walk and the Mrs would love the ploughman's.

Pie looked fantastic Lee, easy 10. Can't wait for your video on the Ploughman's, which looked extraordinary. Absolutely right about the small Spanish bar: give it a go for some Tapas. I live in Romania and my wife won't go into a restaurant/bar unless it is full of locals!

Meat looked nicely slow cooked but I despise those frozen puff pastry tops. Shortcrust or suet pastry top all day long. Gravy looked bit iffy

I've gotta say I'm a massive fan of a ploughman's please review the ploughman's Lee I need to go and find one where I live but it's hard in Bedfordshire, I'm gonna say this now you cannot get that much beef in a pie anywhere for that price, the drunken sailor is amazing I'm a good cook, and a foodie Lee, stick with what you know, can't wait to see more content and hand on heart I never knew this was all iPhone material as a keen photographer I'm shocked how good the footage is, great work buddy, see you in the next one. ❤👍🤘

Loving watching you on your hols very jel 😅... we often stay in the hotel la barracuda ( sorry can not spell it lol ) which is on the sea front and 5 mins from the port ... so near the the port a nice pizza place called pincochio which is cheap but very nice ... also in one of your earlier holiday video you went past ' the launch " which does fab snack food .... as for Tivoli word ... I went years ago its was amazing... my hubby who's half Spanish went there all the time as a kid when he lived in Spain... after watching your video ant ( hubby ) looked on Google earth and he couldn't belive how built up the area is as it was all mountains ect ... we went in April to visit Ants dad and we wanted to take our kiddies there to brill back memories but mario ( ants dad ) and ants spectrum said " don't bother it's rubbish nowadays there reports of it closing " .... well yea closed in 2021 in April 2021 such a shame I must make in laws aware of the lol ... looking well Lee enjoy the rest of your hols xx

When you get home mate, give the 3 horse shoes pub in Levisham N, Yorkshire a try. Best steak and ale pie I’ve ever had. Lovely homemade food in a picturesque village. Hopefully it’s still on the menu 🙈😂

Bonanza Chippy. Never been there. There used to be a great one below the Bonanza Square. Live music here on the coast is buzzing as well. For me I prefer Karaoke hehe. Not many places about now. Only a couple

Ploughmans (or should it be ploughpersons) looked good. When I was a child back in the olden days of the 50s a school friend went to tea with another friend, they were sent to the local chippy with 6d for a bag of chips and were given some bread and marge to make chip butties. That was the first we heard of doing that, her parents were not impressed from what I remember. Have done it since though.
